MD Anderson recommended this location. It was exactly the right choice from the front desk support to transportation. Monique was cheerful, professional and informative handling check-in and out services as well as transportation arrangements. Our transportation was provided by Pauline. She was also professional, dependable, friendly, accommodating and a very safe driver (an important consideration). Medical trips of this caliber are often emotionally draining. Knowing you can focus on the task at hand and your significant needs are being reliably attended to is huge. Location, nice rooms and particularly staff made this Holiday Inn the perfect choice for us.

My husband and I were here for the Sorcery Con held at the NRG center. We loved the location for its proximity to great food options, shopping centers and being a walkable distance to the center. This area is not particularly nice but it does have its perks, so be mindful. The hotel staff is kind and accommodating, allowing us to check in about three hours ahead of schedule. The building is older but currently undergoing renovations, so they are making slow changes. There are plenty of scuff markings, notable signs of damage to walls that have been painted over. The walkway near the pool into the parking lot has water that drips down over you from the A/C units. There is discounted breakfast available, but I haven’t paid for hotel breakfast in a few years 🫠 Overall 3.5/5 experience. Once it’s fully renovated, the hotel should make up for the area it’s in, but I also think there needs to be free breakfast ;)

What a terrible place. Whoever had the bright idea to install bright motion sensing lighting under the beds is an idiot. I was staying with my 3 kids ages 5, 3, and 6 months and trying to get them to bed when the whole room lit up like the 4th of July any time anyone moved was a nightmare. I asked at the front desk if it was possible to deactivate the lights and was told there was nothing they could do. They said well when you stop moving the lights will stay off. Thanks captain obvious. Tell that to my kids. I spent the whole night in the bathroom with my 6 month old trying to make sure she wasn’t woken up every time the lights came on while my wife couldn’t get up to use the bathroom, get a drink, or anything. I tried to file a corporate complaint and was told we appreciate your feedback but there is nothing we can do to compensate you. If you enjoy sleeping in a dark room stay clear of this place at all costs.

Very nice place when walk in. They are remodeling and took forever to get hot water to the 10th floor. Said only had 1 water heater for whole building. King bed was hard also.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Houston directly connected to NRG Stadium, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location is absolutely perfect—whether you're in town for a game, concert, or medical visit to the nearby hospitals, this hotel puts you right where you need to be. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and well-maintained, with comfortable rooms and great amenities. But what really stood out was the front desk staff. From check-in to check-out, they were friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful with any accommodations or special requests I had. They truly went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. If you're looking for convenience, comfort, and top-notch customer service in Houston, this is the place to stay. Highly recommend!
