My boyfriend and I were attending a wedding in the Woodlands. Our stay was originally supposed to be from Jan 21-23 but due to the winter storm, we thought it would be best to leave right after the reception on the 22nd back to Dallas. We arrived on the 21st late at night to check in. I asked the front desk if it was possible to have a late check out on the 22nd instead. While they did warn me that it depended on how long the cleaning staff could stay late until, they made sure to communicate with the day staff and keep us in the loop. The wedding wasn't until 3:35pm but the staff was willing to have us check out at 1:30 pm. I am very appreciative of the front desk and cleaning staff for helping us during a very stressful situation but they really eased the weight off my shoulders. Special kudos to Alysa! Thank you so much for your help! About the hotel, the room was very clean and the hot breakfast was very delicious. It got us to buy bagels, cream cheese, and jelly for our apartment haha! The gym was also clean and spacious for me to do floor workouts with a mat. Would love to come back here again whenever we travel to Houston.

Room was in great condition. The free breakfast & coffee was actually pretty good, I was pleasently surprised. Definitely will stay here again next time I'm in the area. Everyone we talked to was really nice as well.

Overall a good experience. Service was nice. I deducted a star because of my hot water issue. I stayed several nights however, I had warm water. I put in a request the first morning and it wasn't addressed.

God's “Queen” Child
The only reason I gave a 3 on service is because while we were checking in, I asked the lady who checked us in to give me a room away from the elevator. She said okay, this room (213) is not too close to the elevator, I said okay. When I tell you that the elevator was about 2 seconds from the room, literally. My husband and I are club members and we travel all over and stay in IHG hotels, mainly Holiday Inn Express. I feel like my request was disregarded. If she would have honored my request, I would have given 5 stars.

I have to stay in the Houston area once a month and have made this hotel my "go-to". The young lady that is usually at the front desk in the evening, Alysa, is so wonderful and welcoming. I hope I spelled her name correctly because she remembers us every time. She also offers recommendations for eating out depending on your group and preferences. The new coffee makers are excellent and the rooms are well maintained. I switched from another hotel due to their air-conditioning issues; no such problems here.
