This is a decent hotel conveniently located close to the airport. They provide a complimentary airport drop-off, which is very convenient for travelers. The bedroom and washroom were clean and well-maintained. All the required basic amenities were available in the room. Breakfast is decent with the standard Holiday Inn–style servings. Overall, it’s a comfortable and practical choice for a short stay near the airport.

This place is abysmal. I booked this hotel explicitly for the airport shuttle because I just had a 12 hour layover. When I landed at the airport, the hotel didn't answer my calls, so I had to call corporate to be connected to the front desk. I waited over an hour for the hotel shuttle standing in the exact spot I was told to stand in outside terminal C, and had to call the hotel many times. At one point, the front desk staff (Tate?? sp??) claimed that the shuttle had come by and even had called my cell phone, but I was nowhere to be seen and didn't answer the phone. This was completely false. The front staff then said that the shuttle was on his way back to the airport for me, and it would be 10-15 minutes. I waited another 22 minutes before giving up and calling an Uber- in that time, I met another man waiting for the shuttle with his family who told me his brother had landed earlier in the day and waited 2 hours for the shuttle before finally giving up. When I showed up at the hotel and continued expressing my frustration with the front desk staff, he again asserted his shuttle driver had called me, and even claimed to have 'call logs as proof with your correct phone number!" It was completely false. I showed him my phone with no call from an hour prior. It didn't matter. When he asked for my contact info to complete checking me in, I stated, "you just told me multiple times you have my phone number, I'm not sure why I should write it down again." He then threw his hands up and yelled that he would not allow me to check in. Meanwhile, the shuttle driver showed back up with some Burger King to eat in the lobby. The front desk guy went in the back room and called the manager, Kim. While he was in the back room, another guests waited a long time to check in until the shuttle driver finally went to alert Thyke. Kim showed up frustrated and unhelpful and offered no solutions except to officially cancel my reservation. She did not ask me what happened and was not interested in my perspective. She asserted to me, 'you won't be happy staying here' to which I said, " what? I just need a place to sleep tonight." At 9PM at night, I then had to find a new hotel. I had to pay for yet another Uber to that hotel, then pay for the new hotel, and pay to Uber back to the airport early the next morning. I had made my initial reservation for this hotel through a third party. When I asked the third party for my refund, they told me they called the front desk and Thyke alleged that I had simply never showed up and my reservation was cancelled. Absolutely unbelieveable. I then had to call and speak to another manager, Portia, to resolve the issue so I could receive my refund. The hotel has refused any compensation and wrongly asserts I used "abusive language" when really, they have staff who lie and have a temper and don't like being called out. Very creepy place with very suspicious behavior going on, avoid at all cvosts.

I liked the location and price, very reasonable. Everything was new. Interestingly enough, we were there 2 years ago and also recently and the service hasn't changed, good quality, the staff is professional. A couple of the dining seats need to be replaced as they show signs of wear and tear. We love the location, literally less than 15 minutes from the airport! I would recommend this compared to other hotels nearby. The price point and service gets the bang out of your dollars. Best price and service combination.

We are a family of five who missed a connecting flight in Houston and, after quick research at the airport, booked this hotel. We arrived very late following more than 24 hours of international travel and layovers and were in clear need of rest. From shuttle booking through checkout, the overall staff attitude was disappointing, with the exception of the night-shift front desk attendant and the day-shift Duty Manager. The shuttle driver arrived at the airport with the wrong guest name and was about to leave. We avoided being stranded only because we noticed that the phone number on his pickup sheet was correct and pointed it out. Had we not caught this, his shift would have ended and we would have been left without transportation. Check-in itself was handled well. However, after unloading all our luggage and preparing to rest, we discovered that the sofa bed in the room was broken, which required us to move to another room in the middle of the night. As a club member, late checkout until 2:00 pm is typically offered, subject to availability. Despite availability, the front desk agent declined the request without explanation, showed little consideration for our circumstances, and insisted on charging a full night’s rate to allow a 2:00 pm checkout. After speaking with the day-shift manager, she kindly allowed us to stay until 1:00 pm. However, there was no shuttle service between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, which ultimately forced us to check out at 12:00 pm. Additionally, the shuttle driver suggested that guests should anticipate contingencies such as missed connections and carry U.S. dollars for tipping, implying that CAD 20 each way was insufficient and means nothing. This led to a tense exchange, and out of frustration I asked him to remove our luggage from the shuttle so we could take a cab. The situation eventually de-escalated; he dropped us at the airport and shook my hand. I believe the staff are capable and well-intentioned. That said, given our circumstances, the overall experience felt dismissive and, at times, uncomfortable, as though the issues we encountered were not taken seriously.

Whole water system has so much chlorine in it, it smells like a pool and dries you out like pool water as well. Horrible service at every Holiday Inn Express, must be part of the training. Why have coin operated machines if there is no way to get change unless you have singles??? "Laundry room onsite" but can't use it unless you have coins which I cannot get. Maids come and "tidy up" rooms but don't change any bedding, just set up the used bedding. Nothing but issues with Holiday Inn's can't wait to get out of this hellhole :)
