Michelle Marquez provided exceptional customer service during my stay. My employer had booked my two-week stay as two separate reservations, which meant I would normally have to check out of my room, pack everything up, leave, and return at 3 p.m. to check into a new room. When I explained the situation to Michelle, she took the time to look into my reservations. Although she couldn’t keep me in the same room, she went above and beyond by finding another room that I could move into right away so I didn’t have to leave and wait until 3 p.m. Her willingness to help and her outstanding customer service made a big difference in my stay. Dear Michelle, I see you are the assistant general manager for the Holiday Inn Express Houston Space Center. We checked in on the 14th of February . Everything went smoothly and I thank you for the staff personal training. Unfortunately the girl never mentioned we needed to request house keeping to clean our room while we were away. Our family arrived later in the evening to find our room was not cleaned or serviced. I requested a different room but was turned down on this request. Your hotel was not sold and my simple request should have been honored. Your staff provided a garbage bag for my wife to empty the garbage as well as fresh shower towels. I was not looking for a refund but I was expecting better customer service. Your standard operating procedure manual that you have in place was not followed and the staff needed to make decisions on there own that was in the best interest of management to fit the bottom line. I feel saddened by this experience. We came to Texas to purchase a home for our family and we feel abused by the lack of training the staff has received in this type of situation. Thank you and wish you a wonderful year.

The location was great, safe area. The breakfast was nice. But the room was very dirty! The toilet was gross, there was giant toenail clippings on the carpet so obviously it hadn’t been vacuumed. The surfaces were so dusty, it made us wonder if they are even sanitizing surfaces. Would not stay here again. Find another hotel in the same area.

I am a over the road worker I have stayed here pretty much all of 2025 and the hotel staff is always accommodating and friendly. Michelle the manager is professional and always helpful to the guest. Rooms are always comfortable. I recommend the stay here you wont be disappointed. Melina is a amazing and very friendly and helpful.

Melina, who works at the front desk at the Holiday Inn express near Clearlake was so friendly every morning I left for work. She greeted me with a smile which started my day off right. When I forgot to get a receipt for my stay, I came back and she was more than happy to help and greeted me with that same energy even though I wasn’t staying there. Melina is memorable and remarkable!
