As a gold member, I have never been so uncomfortable, disgusted, and unsatisfied with my stay at a Hilton brand hotel. For starters, our sheets blankets, pillows, etc literally smell like mildew. Honestly mildew is putting it lightly. It’s as if someone’s feces were on the blanket and the hotel did nothing but wash the stain out. Horrible. You can smell it as soon as you walk into the room. Which has made it impossible to enjoy my stay. Especially considering the hotel is completely booked so we cannot move rooms without completely taking a loss on all of the money we spent this weekend staying here. Secondly, for some reason our digital key wouldn’t work. So we went down to the front desk to get a physical key. We came back up to the room and it didn’t work either. We went back down to the desk to get a different key card thinking that it was a user error or something. Come to find out, the lock on our door was dead and the receptionist couldn’t assist us at all. We had to wait for the maintenance man to come up to our room (THE EIGHT FLOOR) and charge our door. We literally had to sit and wait out in the hallway on the floor. We were exhausted and uncomfortable. Because of this massive inconvenience, we were late to an event (the main reason we are in Houston) Side note: there was no issue with the maintenance man. He did his job and was funny and amazing however the inconvenience of not being able to get in my room trumped that. 0/10 experience and I whole heartedly recommend others to choose different Hilton brand hotels when they come to town. I know I will be.

Hotel is pristine! Eric’s is always open and the front desk staff are efficient and professional. Housekeeping did an excellent job as well.

While the parking garage is my least favorite one I've ever been to, everything else about this hotel was absolutely incredible! The lobby encouraged relaxation and human connection, there was a beautiful courtyard, an area paying homage to the university, a nice restaurant on site, the room was very accommodating, and the bed felt like I was sleeping in the clouds. My absolute favorite part of staying was the staff on site. I was greeted by S.J. who treated me so kindly, and was so welcoming. He really went above and beyond to make me feel at home. I don't remember the names of everyone else who assisted me, but the entire staff were so polite and professional, it was really nice to see, as you don't get that type of service everywhere!

We were in town for my nephews graduation, and it was our first time staying at this Hilton establishment. The staff was very accomdating. We have an oversized vehicle that could not use the hotel garage, but the staff provided us a pass that allowed us to park in the loading dock for the night, in addition, because we were continuing with our travel we required a document to be delivered via FEDEX, and the staff was able to sign for our document and had it waiting for us upon check-in. We appreciate the staffs professionalism, and help with our two special situations. We would stay again and recommend to our friends and family!

We have stayed at this hotel many times. There are generally two room sizes. What I consider is a normal size room and a microsized room that is barely big enough to hold two queens, nightstand, table, desk that doesn't really fit, and a minifridge. It has a mini-bathroom that you can't even sit on the toilet without hitting the toilet paper roll holder so you have to sit a little sideways. The cost was $329 with no food. Lucky us, it included two bottles of water. This rate goes up anytime they are 90% booked or events. Yes, this price was for the micro-room too. Seriously, way overpriced for what you get. The full rooms are more comfortable but this place is really the only thing on or near campus. Parents taking kids to school or visiting that need to be close are really just set up to spend way to much because they are the only hotel game. By the time you pay for the room, food (which is a decent restaurant by the way), a dimly lit parking garage with only compact parking spaces and door ding poles almost every 2-4 spaces, elevators not working, and zero amenities, it is just a lot for a quick weekend visit. I really wish we had other options that were close and safe. We have always experienced clean rooms here, comfortable beds, and courteous staff, but after traveling around the world and staying in many hotels and motels, to include many Hiltons and Hyatts, this one needs to absolutely readjust prices. I have had far better positive experiences at Holiday Inns, Best Western, La Quinta Inn, and the list goes on. This is a hotel that tries really hard to be a 4 star Hilton, but this one really can be a Hilton only in name. Even the lobby is cold and sterile like the Loft franchise with less pizzazz. Online booking looks like you can book it for $181 with taxes, but we have never seen this price and we have been there many times. So, get ready to pay Hilton 4 star prices but watch out for the 2-3 star micro-room and parking garage shakedown.
