Stopped by the Hilton Garden Inn Wichita Downtown and had a great experience. The lobby was very clean and well-kept, and the atmosphere felt modern and welcoming. I grabbed an unsweet tea from the Garden Grille & Bar, which was quick and easy. Special shout-out to Guillermo at the front desk — super friendly, professional, and welcoming. He made the visit even better. Overall, a very positive experience and a hotel that clearly takes pride in presentation and service. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re downtown.

We had an incredibly disappointing stay. My son passed away and I brought my other children here on his birthday as a way to have a reprieve from grief and enjoy the pool as a mini retreat. The plan was to arrive at check in, swim as long as we could, and then swim again in the morning until check out. We set off in our swim suits to find the pool and ended up in a locked stair well. After climbing up and down the stairs to all five floors multiple times to check for any unlocked doors, we ended up having to walk through the 6inches of snow and 12 degree weather in our swim suits in the (unplowed) parking lot to get back in through the front doors. The stairwell had a sign that said that key access was needed for stairs three through five, but it was actually every floor and a person is locked out as soon as they try to use the stairs. During our time locked in the stairwell, I called the front desk to ask about how to access the pool and was told that the pool was out of order due to the elevator being broken. While to some this might be a slight inconvenience, it was crushing to my children who are grieving and were looking to enjoy a single night of fun away from reality. The front desk offered us some breakfast coupons or “maybe a discount on snack items” but even that isn’t an option for us due to my children having food allergies/tube feeding. I had saved up money for this little retreat during these painful days and it’s just so disappointing that there wasn’t some kind of notification about the pool situation (even a sign at the front desk for people to see coming in), as we definitely would’ve found a different option instead of just sitting in a hotel room with no pool to enjoy. This was after we had tried to do this little “grief escape” a few months and couldn’t because the reservation had been messed up and our room ended up being given away. At least that time, I was reimbursed. After this, I don’t believe we will attempt this hotel again, even as excited as we were to try to the very cool pool.

The rooms were very clean, the beds were soft. the staff was friendly, and the pricing was comparable with even lesser brand hotels. A lot of people complain about the pool being slippery, I can see that around the decking area if it's wet and you're not careful it can be a little slick because there is no grip tape, but that was only in a small area. The only complaint I would have is because of the location of the pool it's not well monitored and someone had dropped a large group of about 10 children under the age of 12 and left them up there by themselves without any supervision the entire time we were in the pool.

We stay downtown whenever we go to shows in Wichita. This Hilton is in a perfect location for walking around. We love the room styles and the beds are comfortable. Some rooms are preferable over others. I like the rooms without windows because it's quiet without street noise and the bathrooms seem to be bigger. Staff is always very kind and friendly. Also very helpful and check in to see how it's going.

The room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. You need to have some muscles to move the barn-style bathroom door! The shuttle is nice, but very limited hours (6:00-10:00). They can get Lyft, but not after 10:00.
