HI Houston The Morty Rich Hostel
About
This home was built about 1917 by Joseph Chappell Hucheson, Jr., the son of a congressman who brought the Ship Channel to Houston, and himself a city attorney, mayor during WWI, and then a federal judge until his death in 1973. For the next 5 years the family of a broker at Lehmann Brothers lived here, then it was a yoga studio and over the past 20 years was remodeled and operated as a bed and breakfast. Loved staying here for a week. Right at the heart of the city, this place is a comfortable stay for anyone who is visiting Houston on a budget. Harold and his wife are as hospitable as they are helpful, and goes to great length to accomodate all the guests. This will definitely be my go to place if I ever visit Houston again.

I had a great time during the week I spent here. Harold was super nice and helpful. The place is clean, and both the rooms and common areas are comfortable. It’s in a good location, since it’s in Midtown and only about a half-hour walk to downtown. I would highly recommend MyCrib to anyone looking for a hostel in Houston.

I was here for some days for conference at George brown. Very homely feeling hostel with great host. Very well maintained accommodation at reasonable price in a good neighborhood. Made few good friends among the awesome other guests at MyCrib. The host made great efforts for many of the guests including free ride and company to interesting places even during temporary poor weather in the city.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Five-Star Digital Nomad Oasis! Thank You, Harold and Cathy! My stay at MyCrib Hostel was genuinely a five-star experience—it completely redefined what a hostel can be. Harold and Cathy have taken a beautiful, converted family home and turned it into the ultimate haven for travelers and digital nomads. The comfort here is unmatched. After a long day, sinking into the comfortable bed dressed with high thread count linens was pure luxury. It felt more like a boutique hotel than a hostel. Even the small details were perfect, like the plush carpet in the bath, which was such a welcome, cozy touch. The logistics are just as excellent as the comfort. The location is superb, making it easy to access everything, and the fast internet was reliable enough for all my video calls and work, which is essential for a digital nomad. The tasty breakfast each morning was the perfect fuel to start the day. What I love most, though, is the community. I had the pleasure of meeting incredible people from Australia, Hungary, and China, and that global atmosphere is exactly what makes staying at specialized digital nomad hostels so enriching. I am thoroughly impressed with what Harold and Cathy have created. They clearly put their heart and soul into this place. If you are looking for comfort, community, and the practical necessities of remote work, book your stay here immediately! A genuine 5/5 experience! P.s. Loved the positive vibe - here is an example of signs throughout the hostel.
