I usually count on Hampton Inns for a clean, comfortable stay, but this one missed the mark. The room had a strong mildew smell that didn’t go away — we switched rooms a couple of times and ran into the same issue each time. It was really quite unpleasant, difficult to ignore in the room and not sure if it was a health issue (mold?) The front desk staff, especially Christine, was kind and tried to help, but the problem seems bigger than what the staff can fix. You can tell management knows — the smell is mentioned in plenty of other reviews. After enough attempts, we just gave up and moved to another hotel. A disappointing experience from a brand that’s normally so consistent. Never heard anymore from hotel or Hilton/Hampton Inn - so really best avoided.

We stay here every year that we come to the Lone Star Rally on Galveston Island. We're "particular" about where we lay our heads to rest for the night. This location has NEVER failed us! We were pleasantly surprised by the remodel they'd done. Nice job Hampton Inn & Suites @Seabrook!

I love to stay at the Hampton Inn when I travel. This one has trouble attracting me because the landscaping and grounds are so poor. It's not clear why but they removed seemingly a dozen palm trees 2 years ago. The palm trees matched other merchants and looked pretty. I suspect the franchise owner was too cheap to maintain them. Meanwhile, congratulations on repairing the trash barn.

I booked two rooms for one night, one for me and one for my adult son and his family. We checked in around 3 pm and went to our rooms. We left to go to the beach about 30 minutes later. We got back around 10 pm to shower and go to dinner. My key card couldn't open the door and after a few tries, a lady came out of my room and said I had the wrong room. I checked my key card holder and that was my room. I am so glad I left my bags in the car when I checked in because who knows what would have happened to my belongings. I went to the customer service desk and no one was there. I called out several times as there was no bell or anyway to alert anyone. A female customer representative came through the front entrance about 10 minutes later. She acted as though I had never booked in but eventually got me another room on the second floor. I checked out of my room the next morning but extended my family's room until 5 pm. We got back to the hotel around 12 noon. One of my family members was ill and needed to lay down for a while but their key card didn't work. No one was at the customer service desk and only the maintenance staff was around and very helpful. After about 30 minutes a customer representative showed up. He then said he needed the key card to activate it for us to get back into the room. Why did he not inform me of this when I checked out of my room at 9 am and extended the stay for the other room that morning. This is the worst customer service I have ever come across in a hotel.

Upon arrival, the front desk staff was friendly. However, the room’s AC was out. Rahim at the front desk immediately found a solution, including visiting our room himself to confirm that it was in fact not working. Not having maintenance on staff at the time, he jumped into action and switched our room. Top notch customer service. Thank you Rahim.
