The hotel sits directly across the street from Houston Hobby International Airport. From the hotel, airplanes can be seen, and heard, taking off all day. However, this sound was not an uncomfortable issue and, getting a chance to watch the planes take off close up was actually fun. The room we had was clean and comfortable. The bed however was extremely firm. The bathroom had a sliding farmhouse style door instead of a fully closing door. The tub also has a few rust/mold stains along the edge in areas where the caulk was missing. No hot breakfast is served. Instead, breakfast consisted of grab and go sandwiches (that need to warmed up in the microwave) along with the typical fruit, breads, pastries, and yogurt. The outdoor pool is a good size but could have been kept a little cleaner. There is also a hot tub outside but it was extremely dirty when we visited so it was basically unusable. Even with all of this, I would have still considered staying at this hotel again had it not been for one thing... the staff. The hotel staff interaction shapes the image of the hotel in the customer's mind. Give the customer a great experience and they will gladly return with their business again and again. Hotels with high standards, like Hilton, deliver a customer experience that is worth the price for its guests. While not everyone we interacted with was rude, the majority of the staff at the hotel, unfortunately, were not friendly. Like I said, some were, but the majority of the staff we interacted with during our 5 day stay seemed to be bothered to answer questions or to address issues with the hotel. No smiles, only looking up from the computer long enough to make brief eye contact and replying in short answers. Some were even making rude comments about other guests. This hotel really needs to address and retrain its staff on proper customer interaction, especially since it's a Hilton property. It doesn't meet the high standards for this brand.

The night person at the front desk was nice. The room smelled really bad, it was damp, humidify there was no signal on the TVs, lots of people making noise in the hallways,, there was no quiet time like in other hotels, no bed sheets for the sofa. But what bothered us the most was the breakfast—are you kidding me? Sausage biscuits, pancakes on a stick to heat up in the microwave, no bread, no juice, no cereal, not a hot breakfast as they say in the advisement/online. Very disappointing, especially since I've traveled all over the United States and have never encountered a Hampton like this one. I am a diamond member and this Hampton is the worst. Completely unacceptable.

This hotel only gets one star because of the staff. Everyone was very nice and welcoming when I stayed here last month. Yes this hotel is a roof over your head, but even in the Houston humidity they do not clean well enough. I do believe this entire hotel is infested with mold. The front desk did move me to a different room after I complained about the mold. But I could tell there was mold in the second room as well but it had probably been treated more recently. The free breakfast was good 👍 It seems like all the hotels in this area have mold which is why I didn't try to change hotels unfortunately.

Rooms were clean and as advertised but Tabitha at the front desk was exceptional. She was friendly, helpful and a pleasure to chat with. She should teach your new employee's on the proper way to deal with customers.

We communicated about having issue turning off shower is an issue and asked to send room service. Desc service isn’t polite, rude. Easy to turn on regular shower handle shouldn’t struggle to turning it off, there’s no room service staff according to the front desc person. We didn’t have the choice but to leave the water running.
