It's not often I write reviews, but after my experience at the restaurant tonight, I knew I had to share my thoughts. Tonight, while sitting in the bar, I had an amazing encounter with Tara. She was kind, professional, and energetic. At first, I thought the service was slow, but then I realized she was not only bartending and serving but also cooking herself. She was positive the entire time and apologized for the wait. I have experience in both serving and managing large corporate restaurants. It’s impossible for one person to provide incredibly fast service and cook the food at the same time. Maybe someone called out, or maybe that's her usual responsibility, but leaving one person to handle everything is a recipe for disaster. Luckily for this hotel, Tara did an incredible job given the circumstances. I would return just to have the chance to be served by her again.

Evans is absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked into the lobby, she was warm, professional, and extremely welcoming. The check-in process was fast and smooth, and she went out of her way to help me with everything I needed. She answered all my questions patiently and made me feel genuinely taken care of. My stay here became so much better because of Evans. Her attitude, smile, and efficiency truly stand out. Highly recommend this hotel, and a huge thank-you to Evans for the outstanding service

Where do I begin the Houston Rodeo is what brings people into town. A stay at this hotel will make them leave early and miss the best thing to happen in Texas since the Cowboys won a superbowl. Normally when you arrive you would be able to check into THE ROOM YOU BOOK FOR boy o boy where we wrong. On a busy weekend tired from driving our room was given away and they secluded us from a two bed room to a 1 king bed for three people with a FILTHY ROLL AWAY BED that looked like they got it from Covenant House. Hotels that have a good standing with their customers would usually give a compensation but this so well known hotel gave us a 1 DAY free breakfast pass not for the amount of time we were staying there but 1 DAY. The Next morning waking up in a 1 king bed room we were called and told to us “we have the 4th and 6th floor available come down to get your room key”. We went down to the front desk thinking okay now our vacation can start. They told us oops sorry, the only one available is the 3rd floor room and it is not ready. So we accepted and the room they put us in the night before was next door. They were doing plumbing on the pipes in the new room they gave us and we were told they were just cleaning up. We had to find this out through us going to our room and seeing them do this next door, not them telling us we had to FOUND OUT OURSELVES. When people ask me and say do you think we should go to the Houston rodeo? I will say no because this experience not only ruins my perception of this company but also this city.

This hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. My room looked and smelled clean. The bed was comfy. The scented hair and body wash products were great. I found the weight room to be nice and clean as well. I even wandered into the pool area (I like swim!) to check the water temp. Ahhh...it was perfect! All-in-all, the building and amenities were top notch. As for the restaurant, I ate there two evenings. I can't comment on drinks (since I didn't partake in them), but I can say that Tara did a very good job of satisfying me and many others in the bar area with food and drinks. One night, she was the sole person cooking, serving, and bartending. That kept her busy. She thoughtfully served my appetizers and gave me a chance to finish them before delivering my entree. My food was prepared well, and I enjoyed my meal. I appreciate her efforts. She showed a dedicated interest to my satisfaction. I appreciate her, in particular, and the staff as a whole for making my stay enjoyable. Thanks!
