Temporarily closed? No this place has burned up, why after 6 months has it not been grazed yet? This is an eyesore for the city and an absolute embarrassment to the Marriott corporation!

I stayed here with my parents, arriving late at night with the expectation that our reserved room would be ready as we had booked online. Unfortunately, we had reserved a room with two queen beds, but upon arrival, we were informed that these rooms had already been given to others, possibly for a higher rate. Without consulting us, the hotel assigned us the only remaining option—a room with one king bed and a sofa. This arrangement forced one of us to sleep on the floor, making for a very uncomfortable experience. When we expressed our concerns to the front desk, we were met with indifference and told we could find another hotel if we were dissatisfied. The lack of assistance and rude response from the staff left us deeply disappointed. Overall, the service and management at this hotel were unacceptable, and I would not recommend it to anyone seeking reliable accommodations and respectful customer service.

Things were generally fine. I understand there was a hurricane and it was not normal operation, but the staff was not interested in guest privacy or information security, and that's a deal-breaker for me. On more than one occasion, I observed them leaving copies of guest identification, room numbers, credit card information, notes about guests, etc unattended on the front desk and confronted them about it. On the day I checked out, my wife observed my identification and another guest's information as well. Just sitting on the desk, unattended, and face-up for anyone to photograph or read. She told the manager there on duty that this should not be happening and he actually argued with her about it and refused to secure the information. This was on May 21, 2024 at 11am. We've tried to reach out to Marriott to correct the concern, but have gotten nowhere, so guessing Marriott is fine with it. I blacked out the readable parts of these documents sitting on the counter. As you can see, there is no one standing at the desk. I'm titanium elite - Lifetime Platinum but Titanium this year. Never seen this kind of security violation.

Bed was comfy, bed area ceiling had what looked like nicotine stains on the ceiling partially scraped off, and lingering odor with chemical smell. Bathroom had obvious, not well done patches for water damage. No breakfast, but secure parking lot was nice considering the area. Weight room closed. Broken equipment in laundry room. Other than mechanical issues/water damage the property was adequate but could use work.
