Extended Stay America Houston Med Ctr NRG Park Kirby

IFirst off all of the people staying there and all of the employees I interacted with were very friendly and nice. That is about all I can say that was ok. I was "upgraded" because my room was not ready for my checkin arrival time of 4pm. It was not an upgrade. I wanted a room with a couch specifically and reserved my room months in advance. Next my room was disgusting. Goo on the chairs, stains all over the carpets, carpet missing, the towel bar fell off when I touched a towel to dry my hands, the bars in the closet fell off when I set my suitcase on the floor, on the floor. Not a rack, the floor. There was an old press-on nail under the nightside table, there was debris all over the floors escpecially under the tables, the bathtub/shower had pubic hairs everywhere. Everywhere. Not just one hair, multiple everywhere. The shower ledges clearly hadn't been cleaned in forever. There was old soap scum, not stains, actual scum that removes if you clean it. 2 out of my 4 towels had unidentifiable stains on them. I literally put them on the carpet to walk on when I got out of the shower. Yes, I took a shower anyway. I could go on but you probably get the picture. Really, I should have just left and gone somewhere else but I was tired and there were multiple events happening making it difficult to find another place. I will never stay here agin. Ever. Worst hotel/motel experience ever. If you have it, just pay an extra $50-$100 bucks and stay somewhere else...seriously.

Sani at the reception was very kind to help for our long term stay. The location is suitable for easy commute to anywhere in Houston and has Restaurants grocery shops around. We had a wonderful stay! Would come back if coming to Houston.

We stayed three nights here we enjoyed our stay. We didn’t expect that the request for room cleaning was a 7 day stay before you can get room cleaned. The elevator was out one day we were there because they were doing maintenance & improvements. There was a hole in drawer in nightstand between bed.

Can I give a -5 star review?? Don’t ever stay here! We had a reservation for a queen suite. We got 2-double beds. My husband is 6’4” and hangs off a double bed. We tried multiple times to speak to the manager and he got ridiculously defensive and called the cops. All we wanted was to get what we reserved-a QUEEN suite! We were there for MD Anderson cancer treatments….so already stressed and anxious. He treated us terribly-there was no empathy but complete defensiveness! Worst and rudest person we’ve encountered during our trips down to Houston.

This hotel is not safe to stay. It is dilapidated. The walls are super thin. You will hear children crying and playing throughout the night. They will charge your card when there is a third-party has already paid. They would you to use your debit card for incidentals ( which is fine ) and then after you check out, your money should be refunded. My money was not refunded. They kept my money so they got paid twice through a third-party and they got paid through me. When I asked to speak to a manager, I cannot speak to a manager. They always give me runaround. The pictures of the hotel online are not belonging to the Extended Stay. This is false representation! I was able to upload pictures. When you look at the pictures for this hotel ( look towards the bottom)
