Well... if you're on a budget and need a place to sleep, this is GREAT! The potential of this place is amazing and with attention, love and care this could become a great place. We were greeted by Sherman who is a big wonderful man! He's really nice and accommodating. Houston is NOT PEDESTRIAN friendly so keep that in mind if you're low budget traveller's like myself. Let's start with the positive: The Bed: the cover had a cigarette burn on it but CLEAN Sheets, Comfy CLEAN pillows and no bed bugs. The pool: really clean, tempered water, and high chlorine content πŸ‘Œ so no sickness or bugs. Location: it's close to East Star Buffet, all you can eat, around 18 dollars and a 5 minute walk. Be careful crossing though, there walk signs don't work. The unglammy side 🫨 Lobby: smells like cigars and humidity with not much A/C. Room: we stayed in the rooms close to the pool. The room smelled of tobacco and humidity. With several key points of observation. The bathroom: the floor was sticky, moldy tiles, a fossilized roach and bubble gum behind the toilet. The tub was just a no for me. So with all that said, I thought it was too expensive (70$) for a Saturday night πŸŒ™ 😳 . But to stay, look for quick bite, sleep, and leave by 7am to continue our adventure, it was ok πŸ‘

On arrival the bed was made but the sheets dirty, stained with crumbs and hair in the bed. The towels were folded neatly but stained and there was cigarette ash on the bathroom floor despite the room being a non smoking room. I've given this a two star as when asked to change the sheets, the front office came and did this straight away but I would be keeping a closer eye on the cleaning checks...it was so obvious it was dirty

You've been WARNED!! I read the reviews before staying and decided to ignore them thinking it couldn't be that bad, I was SO wrong!! It is worse than THAT BAD. If you can't find any other motel, then stay in your car, under a bridge, even a dumpster would be better than staying here and probably less chance of getting eaten alive by bed bugs and roaches. After 2 rooms I decided to leave. The 1st room was filthy. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned at all, there was used soap, roaches crawling on the walls and used towels. They have obviously never heard of a vacuum cleaner and smelled like smoke, mold and mildew. I went back to office, told them and showed them my pictures. They apologized and offered me another room. I accepted because I know mistakes happen and just thought it was a fluke. Loaded car back up, moves to second room, walked in and while the bathroom was a bit cleaner, still no vacuuming had taken place but I was so tired I didn't care about the crumbs. I went to take the comforter off (I always use my own) and was disgusted to see the amount of live and dead bed bugs. Needless to say, went back to office, another apology and another room offer. I declined and asked for refund. Please. Please. Please. Heed all the warnings on the reviews!!!
