Drury Inn & Suites Houston Galleria

I love this place. Great food, great popcorn. A few free drinks. Free Breakfast and dinner. Great coffee when I get up at 3am. And when I leave at 3am there is a security guy walking around the parking lot that makes you feel safe. I stay here all the time. The rooms aren't luxury but they are clean and well taken care of. Price is reasonable with free parking

I want to give the review that I wish I could’ve read while looking at reviews to select my hotel choice. This is a Great hotel in the Galleria area. The hotel is close to everything! We were here to celebrate my birthday at a nearby restaurant and I love the Drury brand, so we decided on this hotel. Front desk lady was very thoughtful and efficient! Room was clean and I was given a nice upgrade for my birthday!!! The bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on! We slept soooo good!!! The evening Kickback was very nice. They had steamed veggies, mashed potatoes, meatballs with gravy, along with hotdogs and a nacho station. Everything was delicious! The drinks at the Kickback were just perfect and the bartender made me the best Rum punch!!! Breakfast was incredible! They had so many options…eggs, sausage patties, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, waffle stations, cereal, fresh fruit, etc. This was an amazing stay. I would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel and fabulous staff. There was only 1 person at the front and she was slammed with requests, check ins, and questions. She stayed calm and worked quickly. Lots of patience! The hotel had a cool parking lot security robot. That was fun to see technology and ways hotels are growing. Breakfast was great, bed was comfy, room was a nice size. Nice location close to the embassy I had to visit the next day. ​

I really like that breakfast and evening appetizers were included with our stay. The area is safe, and cars are in a secure parking lot with guest-only access. Special thanks to Cheryl and the whole Drury front desk team for leaving a gift in our room for my mom’s birthday! She really appreciated it. I’m leaving 4-stars mainly because the water went out during our stay, which was a city issue, not the hotel, but not being able to shower or use the bathroom without resorting to old-fashioned methods was uncomfortable. I hope it gets resolved soon, but overall, I appreciate the staff’s efforts with providing water bottles and open communication about the matter.

I'm starting to like Drury for being simple and value-for-money. They don't seem to have a large presence but the few hotels they operate are usually in good locations, include a consistent breakfast and consistent room experience. Our room didn't seem to have any staining issues but we did notice that the microwave turntable wasn't working and the bathroom door hinges needed serious lubricating. Other than that, everything worked. There was no safe, that would have been a great value-add. We'd opted out of room service when booking but someone did service our room. The breakfast and early dinner with drinks are valuable in saving time on a vacation, and are a great option to relax if returning to the room early. We're vegetarians so the spread is very restricted, but we liked the consistency in the spread (unlike Holiday Inn that didn't care). The staff is friendly and helpful and we were able to work with them for a slightly later checkout. There's plenty of free parking and it operates with your key card. Overall, I highly recommend the hotel.
