Our stay was wonderful. The location of the hotel is very close to the medical center area, but far from much else of traveling without a car (to no fault of the hotel, Houston is a large city). For those seeking treatment at any of Houston’s top rated medical facilities, this is the perfect stay. The highlight for us was the transportation. The shuttle service was efficient, and the driver we had each time (Rowdy) made sure we were comfortable and arrived to our destination safely and efficiently each time. We enjoyed our experience, but Rowdy is certainly the reason we’ll return.

Kind of ridiculous that breakfast buffet is $20 when I've been to 10+ doubletrees around the US and all had a free continental breakfast except this one? The staff was very kind in the morning, but the night staff seemed unapproachable and annoyed. The rooms are not the best, but not horrible. Prices don't align with what you get. There's an option to use credit for breakfast for gold Hilton members and up, otherwise order something from the menu (talking 3 plain pancakes for $12) or order the $20 buffet that consists of literally the EXACT same food I have eaten at any other doubletree for free..? Odd choice. The kitchen staff were lovely people and I understand they're not at fault, so it just makes me feel bad because I'm sure any other Hilton patron gets frustrated at this too. Poor sweeties. Skip this location, unless it's 100% necessary. There's probably a better one a few blocks away if you need the food in the morning and don't want to pay for something that's always free elsewhere... Oh yeah, and you cannot take any food to go if you pay the $20 for the buffet and eat a plate in the restaurant? Then when I asked for late checkout (noon) they agreed for free, but called my sick husband at 11:40 and woke him up claiming I'd asked to stay until 4pm??? Get it together omfg.

Rowdy our driver is amazing! Hands down the most friendly, helpful and attentive driver. I enjoy our morning and evening rides they are always smooth a punctual. He’s a great conversationalist and was willing to learn what we were studying to be more inclusive and I love it! Great experience!

This is our 4th stay for visits to MD Anderson. We get a package with a suite with parking and breakfast included, because we have to stay multiple days. It is well worth it. We have had comfortable and clean rooms, above and beyond friendly and helpful service. It is an easy walk to appointments. We have felt safe outside. We have made some happy memories and made new friends for such a difficult time in our lives.

Rooms are clean and location to medical center is very easy. Staff is mostly friendly...had a front desk encounter with a young lady who insisted my vehicle had to have a liscense plate even though I assured her, it did not. I considered several responses and settled on taking a picture to show there is not a plate. Then she continued with the rules and such regarding what she knew about liscensing vehicles without any consideration to my continuous driving for 50 years in this country. She finally let us complete check in and she recommended we have dinner next door as we wanted something within walking distance. Dinner is a seperate review however. Breakfast is a buffet and you should not expect more from the food. Maria, the lady running around taking care of things, was lovely and inviting.
