I stayed here for eight days and somewhat enjoyed my stay overall. The room was clean, and several staff members were genuinely kind and accommodating. Kristina at the front desk was especially wonderful. She had excellent customer service and handled requests professionally and efficiently. Most of the male staff members I interacted with were also very helpful and accommodating. However, my experience was inconsistent depending on who was working. There was one daytime front desk employee (AA woman with crimped voluminous clavicle length hair) in particular who repeatedly shut down simple requests without effort or explanation. When I asked about extending my stay, early check in, or early check out, I was immediately told nothing could be done. Yet when I spoke to other front desk staff or called the hotel line, those same requests were handled quickly and without issue. The inconsistency was frustrating and made the service feel dependent on mood rather than policy. I actively tried to avoid her, however, sometimes she’d be the only one in the front desk or answering phones. Another issue occurred after I extended my stay. Housekeeping was apparently not informed of the extension. While I was asleep, a staff member knocked aggressively on my door loud enough to startle me and was dismissive even after I explained that I had extended and did not require housekeeping and I had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on my knob. It was unnecessary and uncomfortable. A quick call to the front desk would have been the appropriate thing to do and not scare me out of my REM sleep knocking like the police. The room’s temperature was also permanently set to 73-75, which to me is very hot. My room was hot for days. I finally complained and a front desk gentlemen kindly assisted me with getting a kind Hispanic maintenance man to adjust it. I’ve never been in a hotel where the temperature was permanently adjusted. It’s inconvenient. Because of these service inconsistencies and the lack of internal communication, I will not be rebooking. While parts of my stay were pleasant, professionalism and consistency matter, and unfortunately that was lacking.

Stayed here in early January 2026. Rooms are spacious most with a decent view. Housekeeping came all but one day and left the rooms and bed feeling clean. Gym is outdated, however and smells like must. If you enjoy a good workout while traveling then reconsider booking here as it will not meet your expectations. Secondly, the pool area is not pretty and in a central location which feels too public and furthermore has no landscaping or view. Just a concrete area in view of the entire elevator lobby. Parking is an extra $25/night and the garage feels unsafe although we thankfully did not experience any break ins or incidents. Unfortunately this hotel suffers from a lack of quality employees. Tatiana at the front desk was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional when presented with an issue I had. I think friendliness and hospitality should be a minimum requirement when hiring for a front desk position at a hotel. Unfortunately, Tatiana lacked in both of these departments.

Wow! This place is amazing after the reno. The rooms are spacious and tastefully done. Very comfortable. The Bistro does a good job with the happy hours and the breakfast offering. The reception staff are so welcoming and attentive. And yes, the icing on the cake was a gesture by the Reception staff - my wife and i were given bottles of water and a chocolate bar, just in case, with the impending storm. This was a gesture, which really warmed our hearts. Thank you Crowne Plaza! This humane touch goes a long way.

Stayed one night and had to request a different room due to dirty bathroom. Then the second room didn’t have all the amenities but was otherwise clean. For the size of the building and the reputation its supposed to have you would think they would be more meticulous about cleanliness and the quality of the breakfast but thats not the reality unfortunately. Service was great tho, all the people were amazing but the quality of the hotel is not there in the details and leaves much to be desired. However, I would stay again if needed due to the area, near the galleria and Kirby.

The front desk staff and house keeping were great. The rooms were very nice. The deposit was ridiculous and is my biggest complaint. My bill was 400 dollars and the deposit was 300. For a hotel that has no room service, no mini bar, and no way to charge anything to the room I’m not sure what “incidentals” the funds are being held for. I was not the only person complaining about this in the lobby as I left. I’m in Houston frequently and will not stay here again due to the large deposit for a hotel room. The elevators have issues. I’m not sure what’s up with that. The restaurant was fine and the food was decent. Again, it can’t be charged to your room so I’m not sure what the deposit is for, unless you’re just expecting people to trash the room.
