The hotel is not good. The hot water didn't work and food around the room quickly attracted ants. Ice maker didn't work on my floor. The building is old and either needs a complete renovation or needs to be rebuilt. The room was inexpensive, and I thought, it's a Marriot, how bad can it be. Well, that but me on the ass. However, the desk staff was fantastic. Perhaps the best I've experienced in over a year. They were helpful and a joy to speak with. And that's not 1 person, that's everyone I dealt with. Location was alongside/behind a Kroger which wasn't as bad as I expected. If saving money and you are a trooper, you'll be fine. But don't expect much from the facilities. Again, the staff was terrific.

The light right outside the restroom did not work, and the phone did not work in my room; found this out when I attempted to call the front desk for a late checkout. I was told that because I had a basic membership I could not get a late checkout. The last time I stayed here I received a late checkout prior to me signing up for a membership. My $20 deposit for incidentals was never refunded. I will never book a room at this location again.

Always my GO TO hotel. Service is great! Front desk representative Ramon is super friendly and welcoming. Hotel is clean and always smells great! Location is prime. Love it!

A roach crawled on me while I was sleeping!!! I woke up to the sensation of something moving on me, turned on the light, and saw a roach on the bed. I got dressed immediately and went to the front desk at 3 AM, half-asleep and shaken to report it. The receptionist, Patrick, was completely unfazed. His reaction was so nonchalant it felt like this was something that “just happens all the time.” There was no urgency, no concern, no offer to inspect the room, no attempt to relocate me, and no reassurance that anything would be done. All he said was, “I’m sorry that happened, hope you have a nice night.” I told him the roach was still in the room. He still refused to step out from behind the desk. He just looked at me. At that point I told him I couldn’t stay there and would find another hotel. When I called Expedia to transfer my booking, they contacted the front desk. Patrick told them that yes, I complained about a roach but that I “just walked out,” and that after I left he supposedly checked the room and saw nothing, so no refund or credit transfer. That is a complete lie. He never offered to check the room when I was standing right in front of him asking him to. And I would love to know how long he actually spent “looking” for the roach afterward. When I called back with Expedia on the line, he changed his story multiple times. There was zero accountability, zero honesty, and zero professionalism. I truly hope management reviews the cameras and listens to our interaction, because I explicitly asked him what could be done and he said only management could handle it, yet he had no problem denying the issue when Expedia called. This entire experience was nothing I would ever expect from a Marriott property. Between the roach in the room, the unethical behavior of the receptionist, the lack of assistance, the stale cookies at the front desk, and even the TV channels (1–15 not working), it’s clear this hotel needs a serious overhaul in both staff and cleanliness. Overall, a terrible experience, and I genuinely feel robbed.

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel was clean and hygienic. I really liked it. This is an LGBTQ-friendly hotel, and I highly recommend it.
