Stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Houston Rice University while in town checking in on clients in the medical field. The location near Rice University and the Medical Center makes it an easy choice and it stays quiet, which is appreciated after long days. The room was clean and comfortable with good WiFi and a solid workspace. Check in and check out were straightforward and the staff was friendly and helpful without being over the top. Many of my clients in the medical field here, also own homes along 30A, so I am in and out of Houston fairly often. This hotel is reliable, consistent, and convenient, which is why I keep coming back.

The rooms have been updated... No carpeting is a huge plus... The staff here is awesome... I have stayed here at least a dozen times... No construction (at least I didn't see any)... The restaurant in the lobby is amazing and the new bar is excellent... I don't feel the current reviews represent this hotel... I always enjoy being here... So centrally located within Houston with zero parking issues...

This was the friendliest Marriott we’ve ever stayed at and we were there for 3 nights! Everyone was fun, helpful and attentive. We really appreciate the service from Appolino, Carlson, James, Jackson and night front desk. The Silk Road restaurant was amazing! Thank you all ♥️

I had an issue with my reservation in a different Marriott. Ashley was able to troubleshoot my problem here and showed kindness and compassion towards my situation. She is an asset to your hotel and deserves a raise. I travel a lot for work and I will definitely stay here again because of her.

This property really needs some TLC. They seem to be severely under staffed and it shows. The location is pretty decent and the rooms aren’t half bad, but that’s the only thing positive I can say. Now the negative: the “Bistro”, which is laughable to call it such a thing, it’s a bar in the hotel. The breakfast took an hour plus to arrive after being ordered and people just ended up canceling their orders, it’s overpriced. They don’t offer any complimentary hotel coffee so you have to order the coffee at the “bistro” which again took forever to get. This is partly because it’s one girl who is both taking the orders and also making everyone’s breakfast as it’s being ordered. Extremely poor plan on the hotel’s side.
