I used to absolutely love staying at this hotel under its former ownership, and I am heartbroken by how much it has changed. As a local Houston Heights resident, this was my go-to 'home away from home' during home renovations and when I was between homes. While it is technically a 3-star property, the previous management and staff elevated it to a genuine 5-star experience through their genuine kindness and professionalism. They were so accommodating. I knew them all by name, and were a Godsend during the pandemic. I was so confident in the service that I frequently had friends and family stay here when they were visiting me from out of town and they treated them like family. They fit right in with our wonderful Heights community and we residents loved them. Unfortunately, the new management has completely ruined the atmosphere. It now feels like a cheap, low-budget hotel, which is disappointing for a property located in the beautiful Houston Heights neighborhood. To be frank, the current desk manager (Jasmine Thomas) and the female staff member I dealt with lack basic professionalism and possess attitudes that suggest they simply should not be in the hospitality industry. Their behavior made a place I once found wonderful feel incredibly uncomfortable. I would now be extremely reticent to have family or friends stay here, even though it is a convenient 6-8 block walk from my home. This hotel no longer represents the quality or charm of the Heights area, one of the most unique, close-knit neighborhoods in Houston. In addition, it no longer fits in with the rest of the Heights' businesses.

You know how, when you check into a hotel, front desk is either, plastic nice, or "I really don't want to be here", or any variation thereof? Well, not here. Nekole was just so darn, genuinely sweet, checking me in, with that gentle voice of hers. It just made me feel welcome and appreciated. Great start to our visit to this property. Also, very much appreciated the fact that the entire property is behind a gate, including the parking area. Property is fresh and new.

The hotel was beyond comfortable, but the real stand out here was the receptionist/welcome host Don. He was so friendly and accommodating. He checked us in quickly and efficiently, but also found a way to make us feel very welcome. He even helped me secure a late checkout since my sister’s meeting schedules changed. This guy was the best and because of him we will return here in the future. I hope you all get Don!

Great location. Heights area has great mix of dining options and party scene. Close enough to catch a ride downtown. And right next to i10. Clean place. Safe parking garage

I've stayed here twice recently and the front desk is so nice and accommodating. I like that there is a small bar to have a drink or two which is very nice. Every time I'm in the area and need some quick lodging, this is my go to location.
