Comfort Suites Deer Park

Me, son and girlfriend are staying at this Inn December 29. Today is December 22. We are staying there until 29. The rooms are spacious and plenty of places to sit. The issue I have when we booked the room it said under amenities is that is pool. I need to keep exercising even on vacation. I do water aerobics classes back home in Alpine, Tx. I have been told by the front desk clerk on Saturday December 20 that I am not sure and I would have to get back to me. December 21 ask the front desk an update on the pool. She told me they still have put tiles and chlorine in the pool. I told her if would of known that pool isn't available I would of found another place. Then she told me it's winter time no one uses during weather. I told her that it does say the pool is closed certain months out of the year. I am disabled and water aerobics is not hard on my joints that is why it's important to me. The breakfast that is provided with the sauage patties and links don't look cooked. Hopefully my opinion will change at Comfort Inn

This was my second time staying at this hotel. I booked a room for 2 nights weeks prior to my stay and when I get there they put me in another room which is not what I paid for and still tried to charge me for the room that I didn’t get. The front desk person had told me she just checked someone in the room I wanted but I had RSVP. Then the manager gonna say there was no rooms at the time I booked. Which is a lie. Again the front desk person just told me someone just walked in and she checked into the room that was supposed to be mines. When I go to check out they gonna say I didn’t pay for the room. I will never stay here again!!!

On my birthday all I wanted was to get away and have a quiet peaceful stay in a room with a Whirlpool/Jacuzzi. I called the location before booking to confirm that the tub in the whirlpool room was jetted. I had a car accident so my body gets a brief moment of relief when I can get a massage or the comforts from a jetted tub and my home doesn’t have one. So I booked here only to find that the tub was NOT WORKING. The front desk staff came and tried to operate the tub with no luck. I was very disappointed. I asked the lady at the front desk if there were any other rooms of this type available and she told me she was not authorized to move me. Very disappointed and disgusted. I could have stayed home if all I was going to get was a hot bath. I will not return to this location.

for a good time make sure you ask for Noelia she will make sure all the guests have what they need if you know what I mean 😉 Be aware that staff behavior can be unprofessional, and some guests have reported inappropriate interactions. On top of that, the property has serious issues with bed bugs, roaches, and mold, especially on the first floor. Take caution before booking.

I recently booked a room with points for my younger brother on his birthday. I have done this numerous times with many choice hotels. I even put in the special requests that it would be my brother checking in and put all his info. They arrived after midnight only to be told that they would not honor the points because I was not there. They were told it was a “management decision” and not an actual choice policy. Just goes to show how greedy and money hungry the upper management at this hotel is. They didn’t honor the points because they would rather sell the room and make more money. Poor management to say the least. And on top of this I have to call choice to see if they will refund my points to me or not. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone and they should be removed from the choice app all together.
