Comfort Suites Bush Intercontinental Airport

For a short, affordable stay near the airport, this hotel offers pretty much everything you need. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, and breakfast is included, although it's quite basic. However, considering the price, I'd say it's good value. The hotel has a small store where you can grab extra snacks, and the lady who managed the breakfast area was a highlight - extremely nice, welcoming, and friendly. The one downside was the front desk experience with Christian, who seemed bored and not welcoming. Despite me speaking Spanish, he insisted on responding in English, even while chatting in Spanish with a colleague wearing a Mexico-logo polo. When I called him out on it, he pretended like everything was fine. Unfortunately, this was the only hiccup in an otherwise okay stay, suitable for a short visit.😊

I stayed here when my flight got cancelled. There shuttle service is extremely unreliable. I was waiting at the airport at 10 pm for an hour and had to call 3 times. There shuttle wasn’t marked correctly. Then at check in I told them I needed a shuttle at 10 am and they said I should be in the lobby by 9:40 to catch it. The shuttle was again extremely late. The rooms are very dated and run down. My shower would not get warm. There was a very loud

What seemed like a frustrating situation turned into a fantastic 1 night mini vacation where 2 strangers became friends; thank you United Airlines and a missed connecting flight. Communication with the hotel for pick was extremely easy and they even gave me walking directions on how to reach my pick location at the airport. The shuttle driver was quick and drove safe. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly by Emily who made check in a breeze and got me scheduled for return shuttle to the airport for the AM. My room was clean (free of dust and floors clean enough my white socks stayed white), had two sitting areas, plenty of lighting, and the heat/air unit was easy adjust. The bed was soft but not to soft and slept great! The breakfast was a traditional hot hotel breakfast but the staff who prepared it were kind. Morning check out was greeted with warm smiles and kindness from Alexis and Christian at the front desk. The shuttle driver who got me to the airport was super friendly and also drove safe. Over all I would highly recommend this location due to staff friendliness, clean safe environment, and easy accessibility.

I typically don’t like writing bad reviews but I’d like to share my story. Initial impression is that the inside was very dated with dingy carpet smell. I go in to take a shower and notice the water pressure is embarrassingly sluggish and that the water never got warm so I asked for another room. The second room smelled like cannabis and cleaning product (I’m assuming to try to hide the smell). I tried to shower there and the water pressure was marginally better and the water temperature was marginally more hot. I walk over to a Mexican restaurant next-door and notice a new hotel between the restaurant and the Comfort Suites called Spark. I called Spark and booked a night there instead. I was immediately impressed with a clean, working shower and appears I’ve been recently renovated or possibly new build. It was only $5-10 more at Spark. Unfortunately, I booked a nonrefundable option because it’s cheaper and when I try to get a refund, they only offered me 30% back because I “didn’t try to let them fix the situation”. I didn’t spend more than an hour at Comfort Suites. Avoid this hotel. I won’t be surprised if they don’t even refund me 30%. I also wouldn’t be surprised if they condemned it within the next five years.

I genuinely feel bad leaving this review because the girl at the front desk was as kind and helpful as she could be. But the owners of this hotel truly need to step up, and guests deserve to know what they’re walking into. The low reviews mentioning filthy rooms are, unfortunately, accurate. When we first walked in, the room had a strong, unpleasant odor.. old, musty, and clearly not clean. We sat on the bed and the sheets didn’t smell fresh at all; the stench was overwhelming. Then, out of nowhere, we heard water dripping from the bathroom. Within seconds it turned into water pouring from the ceiling. At that point we left immediately and booked another hotel. It’s honestly concerning that this level of upkeep is considered acceptable to offer to paying guests. This place needs serious attention from its owners.
