I left a terrible review last month because I mistook this hotel for the OTHER Comfort Inn in Katy (Comfort Inn & Suites Houston West-Katy) which was lousy. THIS hotel is MUCH nicer and I regret the bad review I earlier left. The only negative I have for the Katy Mills location is that the bed we were in was a bit lumpy (we were in room 315) and the key cards didn't work consistently. But other than that it was a clean comfortable room and the people running the location were fine.

This place has bed bugs. I booked a 2 night stay. The first night I didn’t notice anything. Due to the heavy rain the next day I decided to stay in the room and just rest up. Only to realize I was getting bit! And itching. I notified the front desk only to be told I had to leave since I said the word bed bugs. Then said I wouldn’t be able to be refunded. If you are black do not stay here! I repeat!!!

If this hotel was located anywhere else, I would have left on the first day. If you’re a bit of a breakfast connoisseur like me, please think twice. The breakfast here has received a new record: ‘Worst Hotel Breakfast in America,’ in my books. This is the only hotel where you will eat the same powdered (allegedly), sandpaper-textured scrambled egg for your entire stay. If you think and pray that the next day they will change the limp ‘sausage’ patties into bacon… you’re wrong; it won’t change, it never will. You’ll probably come to appreciate the bland coffee during your stay here, because—guess what—that’s the only good thing you’re getting. Maybe a waffle, if you’re into that. If you just want a place to lay your head safely and recover from the bustling streets of Houston, this is your place—but I believe that’s the bare minimum a hotel should provide… no? I soothed my disappointment with this hotel thanks to its accessible location. Walmart is just around the corner, as well as Starbucks—because you will be running there after encountering this breakfast. But there are several hotels in the area that probably do a better breakfast and look less like the Gilded Age (not upper-class), so I compel you to consider those if the prices are better. I write this in the utmost pain, trying to digest my waffle. My last words are… go somewhere else. Have a lovely stay in Houston, my dear reader.

We recently stayed at another hotel in Katy that was pretty subpar in every aspect but this particular hotel was amazing in every aspect. The front desk staff was friendly and helped us with anything that we asked. The room was great, very clean, and spacious. We will definitely be back!

This hotel is under construction so the immediate interaction wasn’t pleasant. The sheets in the room weren’t clean with obvious stains on bed and to top it all off they are failing to release my security deposit in a timely manner as I’ve never had this issue with a hotel before! Be very careful of the good reviews they show because that’s how I ended up booking here as well! MISLEADING
