This was not a pleasant experience. The thermostat on the heater did not work. When it got too hot I had to get up and turn it off. When it got too cold I had to get up and turn it back on; sleeping was difficult. The TV was flashing an add to upgrade to 80,000 plus channels. Which also made it difficult to sleep. I asked what time breakfast was and the lady told me that I should make my own breakfast hence the kitchenette; she floored me with that answer. The mattress was never flipped. I had to sleep in the inventation caused by all the other people who slept on the mattress. I tried to stretch out in the bed but it became uncomfortable due to the body impression. I could not get comfortable and was forced to lay within the previous body impression. I will never stay there again and I will think twice about staying at any Candle Wood Inn for that matter.

Stayed there for business. Was supposed to stay a week but left after 2 days bc the rooms have a weird smell. Im pretty sure its mold. They have roaches. And then the very rude & unprofessional staff! Housekeeping especially! I saw a housekeeper (older mexican women) scream & cuss at the front desk girl. Right in front of guest too. I have always stayed at Candlewood Suites in whatever city im working in, but i will never go back to the one in LaPorte. They have the worst customer service I've ever seen. Hopefully they get a more friendly & professional staff.

The staff was pleasant enough however we couldn't even stay the night the smell of mold and mildew was so strong in our room and product used to cover up the smell was so thick it was a if you could taste it. 3 hours of being in the room we had a headache and sore throat we were told upon check out he would see what he could do but we would most likely still be getting charged for the night. It was a bit out dated but over all could get past some of that if the smell/mold and lack of ventilation was not a issue.

Amazing hotel to stay at. Very, very clean, the staff are amazing & all helpful & It is a quiet & peaceful hotel unlike others I have stayed at. Room service is Top Tier ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐ I recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting a safe, quiet, very clean & accommodating place to stay! Gotta love the onsite little store they have too and everything is priced budget friendly!!!!

The service was great. The rooms were clean but there was a smell in the hallways and in the rooms. We think it's mold because you can see it in the AC. They just need to clean all the ACs and I think the smell will go away. And they dont have breakfast. It's a bit outdated. But they are pet friendly so that's good. If you are traveling workers, I believe this place would be okay. But for traveling, families on vacation, I wouldn't think so..
