It used to be one of my favorite stays about a year ago but something happened between then and now and management lost a lot of its warmth from what I can tell. A coworker of mine lives nearby and as he was going home from his shift mine was just beginning but we had enough time to chat during shift change when I mentioned I was staying at the Camelot Inn that night so he offered to bring by some left over BBQ from his family reunion and I wasn't about to turn down free BBQ but i didn't get back til after midnight and true to his word, around 1:15am there's a knock at my door and he's standing there with a paper bag full of all kinds of food and I say come in but no sooner I close the door behind him and the phone to my room starts ringing and someone from the office starts yelling at me that visitors are not allowed and won't even let me tell him he's just dropping off some food before he yells me if he doesn't leave in the next five minutes he's going to call the police. The police. For bringing me BBQ so I don't have to spend any money eating our, what a pal, but before I can say anything he hangs up on me. I'm sorry but if I pay for my room I should get a say if if someone stops by to help me out but since I couldn't get a word in I'll say ot here... that kind of pissed me off and I don't think I'll be returning or recommending the Camelot Inn on west little york and gessner because the way I see it, that was my room that night, they certainly took my money and there was never any mention of a "No Guests Allowed" policy before then, and frankly, I don't like being yelled at, threatened with the police, and hung up on not one little bit! So this place is out of my business, at least because I was angry and embarrassed to tell my friend what just happened as he's doing a kindness for me and I got to explain all this before two minutes passed the he arrived with all this food. Man, I almost went nuclear but for him saying I shouldn't worry about it he was only dropping it off. But, you see, that was my whole point...

Besides the roach infestation in the poorly cleaned room and the group of boys that approached me again after I declined to buy whatever "dope" LOL... And they called and knocked on the door... but I have been around to see this before. However I just checked out 30 minutes ago I realized I left my earrings that are priceless to me and I asked politely if property manager would please put aside and somehow in 10 seconds she went to look for them and she said they were not there. I am absolutely positive they are because I was about to pick them up but I was distracted by the pounding on the door at 10:51 AM by a maid demanding that I check out. Not at 11AM, which is the actual time for check out. It's bittersweet because I was considering this place for our reunion and the 30 plus rooms I'd have booked for 12 days would have been a disappointment and I would stay in a tent before supporting such a dump managed so poorly. Absolutely disgusting.

Very nice lady on phone when reserving room. Gentleman checking us in was very polite even though it was late and then came to room to fix tv very quickly. Outstanding room. Very clean. Updated. Comfy bed. Will be back next time in area. Pleasantly surprised with this small hotel. Great price.

When I got in at 1:30am a very tired man appeared after I rang the bell. Then he quoted me $50 a night for two nights stay. $100 when I tell the man that I'm the only one staying in the roomis me but my daughter will be visiting. He tells me he will be watching me. He did he watched me and my daughter unload the car. Then when we got inside my room he calls and lets us know that again nobody's allowed to stay in the room other than me. The doors lock did not latch. The a/c is not working well, the DVD player has a piece hanging off the front of it not even sure if it works. After seeing the stains on the bed sheets I will not shower here or sleep in the bed! Nasty mistake! So before check-out time tomorrow I will be looking into getting a refund of my second day stay. So I can find another place to stay where my daughter won't be stalked into leaving, and I can get a good night's rest in a clean environment!

Owner was creepy as hell!! Or whoever worked the night shift! Very uncomfortable feeling!! Pillows, covers, towels smelled horrible! Towels had stains, like really. U definitely get what you pay for. Didn’t see any bugs but it wasn’t the cleanest place!
