Our weekend stay was wonderful! Check-in was smooth, the room was clean and comfortable, and checkout was just as easy. We loved the extra touches complimentary water in the lobby and candy for guests were such a nice surprise! We also checked out the bar, and OMG!!! The food was amazing! DJ was welcoming, professional, and attentive throughout our visit. He ensured our food was delivered promptly and checked on us to make sure everything was perfect. Excellent service and an overall outstanding experience! We will definitely be back for our anniversary. Thank you C. Baldwin!

I recently stayed at the C. Baldwin Hotel Houston for New Year’s Eve and had such a great experience that I returned for the MLK holiday weekend for a three-night stay with a group of friends—and once again, the hotel exceeded expectations. From check-in to check-out, the service was absolutely amazing. The front desk staff and valet team were pleasant, welcoming, and professional, and the food was great, as always. I also loved the newly implemented wine hour—such a fantastic addition to an already wonderful experience. A special shoutout to Darius, who was incredibly welcoming and made sure all of our needs were met throughout our stay. His hospitality truly stood out and made our visit even more enjoyable. I will definitely continue to be a loyal customer of the C. Baldwin Hotel. 10/10 recommend—can’t wait to return!

Honestly, I liked this hotel. After reading the reviews, I was pretty apprehensive about my stay. However, I ended up having a great experience overall. A lot of reviews mention that there was no fridge in the room - there was definitely a mini fridge but it was built into a dresser drawer. You have to pull it out. I don’t really ever have a microwave in a 4/5 star hotel, so I’m not sure why that is such a big complaint. As far as the staff, I would agree that they can come across as uninterested, but if you treat them with kindness they’re totally warm. The people saying they had nothing but poor customer service… it’s probably your attitude. I really only had one negative staff experience at check in, but she let me check in super early so it kind of balanced itself out. The room service is egregiously overpriced so I’d recommend just ordering DoorDash. The location was amazing - you could walk anywhere and there’s also a shuttle that’ll take you to most of the spots downtown. It’s worth staying in for the breakfast though, that was super good. The only suggestion I have is for the check in staff to give more information. Example: what time does breakfast end each day, what benefits are included with your stay (Hilton Honors, Hotel Collection etc.), directions to the elevator, like anything would’ve helped. I was just handed my room keys and felt like I was dumb for having questions Anyway, I’ll stay here again when I come back in the summer.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during Christmas week. The room was amazing, service great and the staff was so friendly. They even upgraded our room to an amazing view. We ordered room service and loved the pancakes! Everything went well until the night of Christmas, our neighbors were heavily vaping or something because the scent went to our room. I contacted the manager (also being mindful that it’s Christmas) and they brought up security to tell them to take their party elsewhere. The staff even allowed us to go to a different room however we were leaving early in the morning for the airport so we opted to stay. However at at around 2am, the neighbors came back and started non-stop shouting aggressively and now I was feeling unsafe. I let the staff know that I wanted to leave as soon as possible but it took about 2 hours for them to let me know it was safe to leave. I wish we would’ve changed rooms the first time especially because then it all turned violent. The staff did a great job, but I’d just like to suggest to prioritize the safety of the other customers. Hearing them yell and scream at each other for 2 hours was not fun and I was not able to get any sleep that night unfortunately. I do understand that the staff probably don’t get trained to handle situations like that but maybe that’s something to add for quality improvement. I’m rating everything 5 stars except for feeling unsafe which isn’t the hotels fault, but communication and prioritizing safety of other customers could definitely improved.
