Very Bad Experience – Never Staying Here Again We had a terrible stay at Comfort Suites Seabrook – Kemah and I would strongly advise other travelers to avoid this property if possible. Rude and unprofessional front desk agent: We checked in around 11:00 PM after a long journey. I had already called the hotel at 3:00 PM to inform them of our late arrival. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) and had booked a room with 2 queen beds through Hotels.com. On arrival, we were given a single king bed room. When I questioned how a family of four could sleep in one bed, the night front desk agent was extremely rude and bluntly said, “If you don’t want it, I can cancel the room.” At that hour, with kids and no alternatives, we had no choice but to accept it. I ended up sleeping cramped on the sofa all night. Completely unacceptable behavior. Elevator not working: The elevator was out of service, and we had to carry all our luggage up to the third floor. Only after reading older reviews did I realize that the elevator has apparently been non-functional for months. This should be clearly disclosed before booking. Horrible room smell: The room was labeled non-smoking, yet it had a strong cigarette smell mixed with a chemical odor. It was extremely unpleasant and made it hard to relax or sleep. Poorly managed breakfast: Breakfast timing was 6:00–9:00 AM. We went at 8:30 AM, and most items were already finished. Nothing was being monitored or refilled. Even plates and cutlery were missing, and we had to ask staff to restock them. Very poor service. Key cards repeatedly stopped working: One key card did not work the first night. By the next morning, both key cards stopped working, forcing us to leave someone inside the room every time we stepped out just so we could get back in. Additionally, when we raised the issue of not getting the two queen beds we booked through Hotels.com, we were told to “call the booking site” and that only king rooms were available. If the hotel cannot honor confirmed bookings, they should not be partnering with online booking platforms. Overall, this was a very disappointing and stressful stay. Between rude staff, misleading room allocation, broken elevator, unpleasant room conditions, and poor service, this hotel failed on multiple levels. We will never stay here again.

There is a reason it’s so cheap. Horrible experience. Was not contacted to be informed that the elevator was broken. We had 3 rooms of 6 adults. 1 recently having knee replacement and stairs were not possible for her. My husband checked the stairwells to see how steep they were & the place was filthy and smelled of mold. Look at the wall behind the reception desk - the fact that first impressions aren’t important. I was told we would be granted a refund which they denied as soon as we left the property & Expedia attempted to grant the refund. I’m a travel agent & spent half an hour on the phone with our business development manager for Expedia. Expedia refunded all three rooms because the amenities offered on the listing included elevators. The property should have done the right thing and they didn’t. I suggest people dispute with their credit card. A gentleman came in as we were leaving and his comment was “what? The elevators were broken the last time I was here!” So my assumption is that they are not maintaining the same elevator. That creates a dangerous situation. Also, look at Google Maps. Your view is a lovely industrial area - not populated and fairly isolated.

Staff completely friendly rooms were very nice. Hotels going through a little remodeling, but staff made it feel like Being with friends and family. If I had to work and live in this area for 10 days or more, I would definitely like to stay here. Access to beach is very close, good parking, easy to get too.Easy to access beach and water

If you are looking for the Econolodge or Roadway level of service, functionality and quality this is your place. If you stay at Choice Suites, this is NOT where you want to stay. Elevator has been broken for MONTHS, same for the ice machines on the first and third floors. Half of the rooms are under construction with no locks. Staff is helpless. Only available rooms are on the 3rd floor as long term stays have utilized all of the first floor. Owners apparently don't care as long as they can collect money. Basically save your money and sleep in your car or under a Humvee. You'll be happier, I know I would have been. Update: So apparently the owners cannot care about black mold on the windows screens. ******AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Marvelette is AMAZING! It is really HER I'm giving 5 stars. She is so kind and sweet despite working the breakfast and front desk. She was always respectful and responded with a smile on her face. Will definitely come back just to see her again!
