Best Western Plus Atascocita Inn and Suites

Clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Quiet at night, and curtains work well to let you sleep in. Location is central and great once you get used to entering from eastbound 1960 and exiting via a nearby side street. Free breakfast was surprisingly good and plentiful. Especially liked the apple cinnamon waffles with apple cinnamon compote. Silly detail, but I really liked being able to walk down the hall of the second floor and down the interior staircase to the lobby/breakfast area. It kind of makes the hotel feel a bit more premium. It's also pet friendly with a reasonable pet fee compared to other hotels we looked at. With a multi day black Friday booking discount, the price couldn't be beaten, and the great quality of visit sold me on staying here every time I come to the Humble/Atascocita area. This is after trying a couple of other 1960-area hotels that had higher per night rates, felt aged the last few times we've stayed, and had very high nightly pet fees. Wish we would have tried the Best Western Plus sooner!

Hotel is clean, beds are comfortable. Our room was at the end of the hall by the back door, which each morning was slammed so hard it shook our room, one day beginning at 6 am, the next day at 4 am. After the first day, I went to the front desk to ask if a note could be put on the door saying 'please close door softly'. The woman at the desk was asleep, and only woke up when she dropped her phone. She did not offer me a different room, nor did she put up a note, so the door was slamming at 4am. We were put in an accessible room which is fine, but the shower leaked to the middle of the large bathroom, and sometimeseven all the way out toward the entry way of the room. To keep from slipping or standing in water, we had to keep towels on the floor. Housekeeping had not come by, so in the afternoon, my husband went to the desk and asked for more towels. She would only give him 1, and said Housekeeping would be to our room. They never came, so we had a pile of wet towels and had to share the one she would give him. The water on the floor we could deal with, obviously there are challenges with accessible bathrooms, however not being able to get more towels was annoying. But being rudely woken up by our room shaking both mornings was enough to keep us from staying here again. The location is perfect for us when visiting family, and the room was very comfortable. If you stay here, DO NOT accept a first floor room.

Worst hotel experience ever. They claimed I hadn’t paid the whole amount just to realize they dropped the money. Had me stressed out all week trying to resolve the issue. I did pay an extra $50, just to make sure and asked to see the cameras which they never showed me. They didn’t give me the change back when I checked in, which I didn’t even realize untill they brought it up to me. After all the issues they apologized and offered me a room discount of $50 dollars. They gave me back the $50 extra dollars I had paid, and the $50 dollars change they owe me. When I checked out they only gave me the $100 dollar room deposit and never gave me the $50 dollar discount. They claimed they had given me the discount already completely dismissing the fact that they had to give my change back. Which I don’t care much for the discount I didn’t ask for it but they offered it so why offer something when they’re not going to respect it. Never staying there again. They said the extra payments and change were returned and the discount applied, I got $200 dollars back in total $100 for the change and the extra $50 I had paid. And $100 for my deposit. Never got the $50 dollars discount they offered. I don’t care much for the discount but is it very annoying to know that after all the mistakes they did, offered a discount and then don’t follow up with their own words.

Everything was great, clean room, comfortable but both times I went into the lobby and passed the front desk there was never anyone at the front desk. The whole time I was there I never saw one person that worked there.

The guest staff was helpful however the first room that I checked into had throw up on the curtains. The front desk staff was nice and accommodating and change the room for me however the second room had hair in the bed and in the bathroom. The microwave started smoking when using it and there wasn’t a remote in the room to watch tv. The elevator needs maintenance when you reach the third floor it sways from side to side. The bathroom tub needs some type of non slip mat my mother fell out of the tub due to the bottom of the tub not being properly surfaced. Overall not the best stay. The breakfast as okay there was a variety of food items to choose from.
