This place is incredibly misleading. I’ve stayed at many Wyndham and absolutely love them but when I showed up here, I was upset to find this to be a MOTEL. Since I was only here for a short time, I just dealt with it. The rooms were bare bones. I barely got sleep because of the paper thin walls and I’m usually a heavy sleeper but I was woken up multiple times throughout the night. You can hear the pipes very loudly, people talking, door slamming. Speaking of doors, the door didnt even close the whole way unless you slam and lock it shut. I even woke up to bite marks. I’m pretty there is bed bugs. Normally in a hotel, either a water bottle is provided or you can get it through room service or a vending machine. Turns out, this place ONLY took cash which I figure is their under the table business. The shower didnt even drain properly and there were stains ln the towel. This place was disgusting and I’m glad I was barely there. The only good thing about this place was that it was in a continent location. However there are MUCH better REAL HOTELS around the area that I’d stay in next time.

I stayed at Baymont by Wyndham – Kingwood with my two sons after our home was badly damaged by a fire on October 25th. It was an emergency stay, and as a mom just trying to keep her kids safe for the night, I chose this hotel because I trusted the Wyndham name to be reliable. A few days after our stay, my bank contacted me about suspicious activity on the credit card I used for the hotel deposit. This was a card I almost never use — I only used it once here because I thought a credit card would be safer than a debit card. Everything indicates that the unauthorized charges, which appeared at Exxon gas station in Pasadena, TX and Uber Eats, were entered manually, not swiped or tapped. I’m not suggesting anyone in specific at the hotel was responsible, but this experience makes me believe the property’s payment system may not be fully secure or properly protected. When I tried to discuss it with the manager, I didn’t feel supported or reassured. After losing our home, all I wanted was a safe and trustworthy place for my boys. Instead, I left feeling more worried than when I arrived. If you have to stay here, please avoid sharing your card details and consider paying cash instead. I wouldn’t want another family to go through what we did.

1. The service is non existent and you are asked to leave tips on check in and check out (link was texted to do both of these and an add tip section is on those webpages). What would I be tipping for exactly? 2. Was not able to check in early, but not a big deal. On check in, we were only given 1 key (2 people using the room). I had to go back in and ask the next day for another key. 3. The room had really awful pillows (4 child size ones that had a lot of wear/tear). We asked the front desk for more pillows and was told "we don't do that here." I asked to pay for additional pillows and was told "that is impossible" and that the manager of the hotel is out of town until January 1st and the front desk person could not reach out to them. Very very strange response and that makes me concerned for how bedding is cleaned when guests check out. We ended up going to Target and buying our own pillows so we could sleep. 4. The photos online (both on Google and Expedia) are extremely misleading. The photos show a decent looking hotel that is not a motel (where you drive up to your door), but when we got there, it very much is a motel with no amenities beyond free parking and a free breakfast (more on this breakfast later). If we had known that this was an Econo Lodge motel at one point that was bought out by Wyndham, we would not have booked here. It was right off the freeway and not very secure. We wanted a decent prices hotel, not a motel where other people are obviously living at. 5. Location was in an okay area, but again, the room was not secure (the door did not shut all the way and the only true lock was the door stopper). You could hear everything from the neighbor next door to the cars on the freeway. 6. The parking lot was free, but too small to accomodate everyone. While not really on the staff, there were many guests with big trucks that would take up a ton of room making it difficult to get in and out of the complex. This was annoying because they police the free breakfast, but don't enforce rules for parking spaces. 7. While we did not eat the free breakfast, there were signs posted everywhere that said to only take your share of food/drink. The staff policed your comings and goings from this, so much so that its better to just go down the street and pay for Denny's (which we did). You also can't take the food or drinks to your room - you had to stay and eat in their breakfast room. We decided to pass entirely. 8. Housekeeping never came to our room. I'm not sure if they were super busy or not, but we didn't get a clean room or any additional supplies during our stay. 2 towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 wash cloths. 2 rolls of toilet paper. Nothing else. 9. The couch in the room was stained very badly with god knows what. It was gross and we avoided that part of our room the whole stay. 10. The TV was an older LG that lagged a bunch. They barley had any channels available. Some of the channels on the TV guide didn't come in at all. 11. The water is super soft and smelled weird. They clearly have some pipe issues or corrosion going on. When showering, you never feel very clean and soap does not wash off easily. Overall, I'm not ever going to be staying in a Wyndam hotel after all the strange rules and misleading photos/advertising.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL & SHADY!!! This was absolutely the worst most horrific experience I’ve ever had in traveling in my entire life! The staff managers that are married, yelled at me for asking questions to understand, they followed a friend of mine on camera Due to a policy of no guests in rooms that you sign upon arrival when they assumed I had children (no children) And scolded me for having someone come visit my room so I can help them with their phone, but they watched me like a hawk by camera the moment that I had him come into my room to help immediately Calling me and letting me know they have no visitors policy. Then they take $20 to $100 deposit (their discretion upon arrival) that is not clear upfront that is due and returned deposit the day or a few days after your stay depending upon cash or credit payment. They have no food allowed to leave the breakfast/buffet room however they have a full-size fridge (makes no sense) and they will stop you from bringing food into your room from the breakfast room and will pick and choose who they will stop. They literally followed someone and made multiple people feel uncomfortable with their stay. The man and woman who manage &/or own and run the hotel are extremely nasty, argumentative, and are not capable of answering simple questions without losing their temper, threatening & being hostile. It is highly unprofessional and I absolutely do NOT recommend staying here at all. It’s very SHADY their deposit system as well and a lie to your face- So be sure to go prepared if you stay. Things are very shady And unprofessional!

DO NOT COME HERE!!! I really want to give them ZEROS all the way across!!! False advertisement of pet friendly! They checked me in even though I never physically saw the room and didn’t pay deposit to check in. They won’t refund me , I never stayed in the room because I had my service animal and the sign at the front desk clearly says NO ANIMALS or be charged. The front receptionist even laughed while asking what does my dog do?! Like who even does that. I never knew I had to be disrespected and mocked for my disability!! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!! Looks like a drug infested, roach motel in person
