Americas Best Value Inn & Suites La Porte/houston

Everything about it is disgusting there is no pool. The air conditioning nor the heat worked. The rooms are disgusting. They smell so badly made me sick. There was no water pressure. And you better stay inside your room. Otherwise that other guests out there might just rob you. It is just all around disgusting. the placed is trashed I have a doctor's appointment today to see if it's the mold or the cigarettes that made me sick.

I wasn't expecting much honestly because of the reviews. There haven't been any recent ones. The rooms were clean. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Cleaning staff are friendly and fast. The A.C. is great cools the room. The rooms were big and great for the price. We're staying another night to go to the beach ⛱️

BLACK MOLD IN THE BEDS!!! I went to go to bed and discovered my bed was covered in black mold! And went to the other bed and it had these orange stains on it. After going to the front office the individual working the front desk just told me that cleaning service has already gone home for the day. If you stay here BRING YOUR OWN THINGS! no telling how dirty this place is in ways not visible to the human eye. (2nd day edit). I came back because I am staying here for the weekend. And while I was gone the cleaning service came in and redid the room like they normally would so I pulled the sheet back to see if they had changed it and I thought they did until I touched the bed and the spot where the mold was felt wet while the rest of the bed was dry. So they basically came in and scrubbed the mold off and didn't even change the sheets which now makes me question the cleanliness of all the bedding in the entire hotel.

Our beds were supposed to be queens and are FULL instead. Renovated room. It's nice but... The power went out fifteen minutes after getting into our room. The pool is closed for renovations. No breakfast because the lobby is full of pallets of new toilets, microwaves, AC, etc. However, good price and he let us check in early.

I’ve stayed at this motel regularly once a month and was always satisfied until my last trip. I called ahead to make my reservation for 3 nights. When I arrived on Sunday, 3/19/23, I was informed that motel was full the night before and rooms weren’t ready. No problem I could come back. Then asked if I have a pet. Yes I always have my pet and I pay the fee each stay. At this point I was shocked to be informed because of new owners they cannot allow pets 🤷🏼‍♂️. I explained I was unaware of this and asked if I could please stay for this reservation and told no. I was so disappointed that I just left. I had always been treated very well there and always happy with my several night stays, my rooms, and the staff were always great.
