Aloft Houston Downtown

Shower up to get my room. Guy at front desk was very helpful. We wentntonour room and it was very hot, locked at thermostat and it said 85 degrees. Lowered it and it took about 10 minutes to start... room felt very enclosed , no windows . I tried to use the water from sink and there was only a drip. Called front desk and asked for a different room . Front desk was helpful and apologized. Gave me a different room but with no hot water and very low water pressure. We left to our event came back and still hadnt fixed it, took a cold shower and woke up with a hopes of having hot water but it was still not working. I Was waiting to get checked out and the person in front of us had also been complaining about the water pressure and temperature. The receptionist told her that she would return some points to her account . So when went up and explained our situation she said, I wish you would have told us sooner, we could have sent a maintenance person to look at that for you... I just looked at her stupid and walked away. Didn't even want to argue.

I couldn't have been more happy with my stay at Aloft in Downtown Houston. I felt so at home with the friendly staff who greeted kindly me every time they saw me in the lobby during my stay. Deanna, specifically made sure my check in was smooth and seamless. She made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The rooms were so spacious, clean, and the beds were extra comfortable. I haven't slept this good at a hotel in a while. The rooftop bar and pool area had amazing views of the city. This hotel gets 5 stars across the board. I will definitely be back!

We stayed here for a staycation weekend to get a break from the kids and the routine daily hustle and bustle. For some reason the app support at this location is non existent, however the front desk staff were more than accommodating. The interior was spotless and on brand with the various Alofts we've stayed at around the US. We opted for the King bed and the room had everything we needed. Although this particular hotel did not have the RoomCast tv setup, there was more than enough programming if needed. We slept the entire weekend so this wasn't a deal breaker. The only complaint I had was the "meat" for the cheeseburger. They don't use cooktops to cook their food. The "meat" for the cheeseburger was very questionable. To be honest I think it was actually horse meat. It's a reason why the bar and in-house restaurant was empty. Whatever you do avoid the food at all costs! There's a pool and bar on the 10th floor that was very lackluster. However, the firepits provided a nice vibe with the views of downtown at night. Our stay was smooth and quiet for the most part until Saturday evening. They piled all the guest on the 3rd floor together although the hotel was not at capacity. My only complaint would be the terrible food at the in-house restaurant and the staff slamming the maintenance door every 15 minutes. This was VERY annoying and loud. Other than that, we would definitely stay here again. Many of the reviews bring up the expensive valet parking. I simply loved this hotel. I visited for a work conference in November, and the front desk staff (particularly DeAnna, DeLaine, and Kenny) were very kind and extremely helpful for an out-of-town visitor. The bartender (I apologize for not remembering her name) was also very personable and gave good recommendations. I honestly selected this hotel because it was close to my work conference, but I was content with the room, found the hotel to be cleanly, and found the staff to be very resourceful. If you're staying in Downtown, Houston, I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to all those mentioned for enriching my stay!

Im having a wonderful stay at the Aloft Hotel Downtown! The property was modern, clean, and very comfortable — a perfect balance of style and convenience. A special thank-you to Deanna at the front desk. She was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful from the moment I checked in. Her professionalism and genuine kindness set the tone for a great experience. It’s rare to find someone who goes above and beyond with such sincerity, and she truly made me feel valued as a guest. Highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers — I’ll definitely be returning!
