Aloft Houston by the Galleria

We showed up at 3:30 to check in, right at check-in time, and were told our room wasn’t ready and it would be another 30 minutes. No big deal, we went to grab food nearby and figured it would be ready when we got back. An hour later, we called to check in again. Still not ready. This time we were told it would be another hour. We had an event to get to and couldn’t just sit around the lobby all evening waiting on a “maybe.” We ended up canceling the room, scrambling to find another hotel last minute, and paying more just so we wouldn’t miss our event. Beyond frustrating. What really pushed it over the edge was the acting manager. Instead of taking ownership, they passed the blame and told me I could speak to the director of housekeeping. That’s not how you handle guests, especially when multiple people were sitting in the lobby saying they had a wedding to get to and had already been waiting for hours. Completely unprofessional. If you’re on a tight schedule or have somewhere important to be, I’d seriously think twice before booking here.

I want to give a HUGE shout out to Angel, the young lady with Angel the day I came trying to escape the hotel I was currently staying at (forgot your name), Morgan, Leonard, and the super cool NEW dude with the platinum hair (forgot your name)! The red carpet was rolled out for me during my stay. The phenomenal customer service, amazing hospitality, clean and cozy room, jaw dropping accommodations, and all the LOVE they showed me during my birthday staycation is unmatched! I was treated like Michelle Obama and that’s not over exaggerating. I highly recommend staying at Aloft and indulging in a fun staycation. The vibe is right, there are plenty of eating spots in the vicinity, and like me, you’ll get tons of work done. I will be back! Thank you Aloft team for blessing me beyond measure, my birthday was amazing and memorable. I truly love y’all!!!

I enjoyed my stay at the Aloft. It served my purpose for my business trip. There were renovations going on which did not affect my experience. The room as a whole was fine, bed was comfy but lighting was not great. There was a fan I could not shut off in the bathroom that was loud. The setup did not allow a solid place for me to do business and plug my computer in. I had to create a makeshift work space. But overall it was fine. I did have frustration with payment because my company was had an account but my card was still charged. Before I checked out, Courtney at the front desk was exceptional going above and beyond to help remedy this situation. She was able to remedy the situation. She even went above and beyond again by covering the cost of my breakfast for the inconvenience. It was Courtney that left me feeling positive about my entire stay.

First, I just want to thank Morgan and Leonard for helping me out of a bind. I misbooked my dates, and they were completely sold out. They monitored cancellations overnight and were able to book me for the last night I needed, so I didn’t have to change hotels. The hotel is currently going through an upgrade, and the rooms look great—clean and with that fresh, new-room feel. Thanks again to the Aloft team for going above and beyond!

We were supposed to check-in at 3pm, they said it was running late to have a room available and would call when it was ready in 30ish minutes. An hr goes by and no call. We finally were able to check in at 7:45pm. The heated pool is a really warm room with a pool in it, the water was freezing. All night we heard scratching and digging in the walls. At least the bed were comfortable. For how much it cost, it was not a good experience.
