I have had the privilege of working with Karen Lopez for the past five years in her capacity as our representative from Associa Management Co.. During my tenure as an HOA officer, I have collaborated closely with Karen Lopez on a variety of initiatives that have significantly benefited our homeowners’ association. Karen Lopez consistently demonstrates exceptional professionalism and expertise across several key areas: Meeting Coordination: Karen Lopez efficiently organizes our quarterly HOA meetings, including reserving meeting rooms, preparing and distributing reports, and sending timely notifications to all homeowners. Financial Management: She provides comprehensive weekly and quarterly financial reports, covering dues, bank balances, project expenditures, outstanding invoices, and budget updates. Her diligence ensures our community remains financially sound. Project Oversight: Karen Lopez actively assists in the coordination of both major and minor repairs, including sidewalks, walking paths, landscaping, fountain maintenance, lighting, and security enhancements. Administrative Support: In addition to supporting the HOA officers—President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and others—Karen Lopez regularly takes meeting notes and follows up on action items. She offers valuable ideas and resources that enhance our community’s operations. Thanks to the dedication of Karen Lopez and the support of Associa Management Co., our community is thriving—beautiful, financially healthy, and secure. Karen Lopez is highly accessible, responds promptly to inquiries, and maintains a positive, collaborative demeanor. Her extensive knowledge and resourcefulness have been instrumental to our success, and I am confident that our community would not be as prosperous without her contributions. I've had a wonderful experience working for Ms Mundy and the Associa Houston Community Management Services. My company hasn't had any misfortunes with working with this team.We are grateful and hope to continue to be of Service to this team.Ms Mundy has really been a big resource and has responded and answered all my questions in a timely and professional manner.We look forward to continue to work with this team at Houston Community Management Services

Unethical company. They receive complaints and cancel them out without properly or fully addressing them. They haven't produced financial reports for our HOA for more than half of the year and won't respond to requests for them. They stonewall any other requests and then try to ignore legal document records requests or impose fee schedules that aren't published. You can't actually get your community manager on the phone. An answering service takes a message and a follow up return call never happens. Edited to now include a screenshot in reply to their response to me. From their own portal in their own documents area. Despite their claims of monthly financial reports. There are exactly four for the last 12 months present. I may not be a corporation. But I know that 4 and 12 are not the same.

I wish I could report that my company’s experience has been great and I am looking for to a productive working relationship with HCMA/Associa. However like many of you, my company’s has experienced the same lack of professionalism. We were contacted by the HOA of , the beautiful Foster Creek Estates to complete a service. We contracted and completed the job on 9/21-23/2024. The Board stated that they were 100% satisfied with the service we provided. Once invoiced for the services, we began to experience inconsistencies from Houston Community Management Association property Manager, Nathaniel Griffin. Mr Griffin’s less than professional attitude toward my company and the service we provide was obvious from the start. We have experienced a complete disregard regarding past due payment from Nathanial, as well Associa that is unbelievably unprofessional. There is an obvious complete breakdown in the company’s operating policies. WITHIN this small timeframe We have been told by Associa that HCMA was mailed the check shortly after the invoice was received. HCMA says that is not a practice of theirs and they have no knowledge of payment. Then we were told the check was mailed from HCMA. (See picture) Today, 10/11/2024 we asked for an update by close of business today. Nathaniel viewed the request as disrespectful and a personal insult….so much so that he hung up in the face of my Accountant. We tried to assure him that to inquire about a past due invoice was standard business practice. We have not received payment or any update regarding the “missing check” as of yet. We have informed the answering service of Associa that escalating the matter will result in additional expenses after today. I am bringing this matter here in hopes that it will gain the attention of the Community Manager Supervisor, Maria Maldonado.

Outstanding HOA management! Ashley McDaniel is professional, responsive, and truly cares about the community. Communication is clear, issues are handled quickly, and everything runs smoothly. It’s been a great experience working with them—highly recommend!
