I was totally caught by surprise visiting the ER @ St Luke’s. Before entering I needed a wheelchair but to no avail!! I had to walk to have an XRay done and before I sat we had to wipe down the chairs. The floors were grossly dirty, used blankets were left in the chairs as well as trash cans as I walked through the hallways. I entered around 3:15pm and asked for something to eat around 11:30pm I received a cold turkey n cheese sandwich with a warm juice. My pain was at the max and at least 3 of the doctors wanted me to take some pain medication and go home without a true diagnosis of my condition!! I refused to leave without knowing the problem to my pain and was eventually moved to a room. It was creepy-bathroom light flickering, the tub seen in the picture below as though it was remolding being done as well as the walls were dirty, lastly some stripping with electrical wires on the wall! I was not comfortable but needed to be treated. Which eventually the staff concluded with a diagnosis and appropriate medication. The food was Horrible!! However, the staff was Professional and attentive to my needs during my stay despite the circumstances

Know that this place is very busy. Nursing staff on our floor was excellent. If you have a patient here, go learn the place. Lots of corridors go in all kinds of places. Remember your colors and go explore. There's a museum, a chapel, a cafeteria. All this helps to get your mind off of certain things. If you're lost, ask, so many people will help you.

I Thank you very much for the professional, empathetic, skilled , gentle treatment and overall care. Every discipline and patient service providers were most kind. I want to acknowledge the Building Greeter at the driveway, the guard stationed at the desk , the presence of the security personnel . The patient registration team members were graceful and lighthearted , warm. I gladly paid my financial obligation. Food Service was 'Tasty' a basic turkey and cheese sandwich was satisfying while I waited for a room. Next morning the breakfast served and young lady who delivered the meal was most pleasant and efficient, food service director has a great team . The Veggie Frittata Omelette was delicious, like cruise ship chef quality. Glowing Appreciation to my referring orthopedist and Surgeon schedule Physician Assistant and nursing Staff at the click and the hospital . All associated medical disciplines on the team, including the Chaplain, so comforting. I believe acknowledgement of everyone on this important, this the details. I am recuperating well and very grateful to all of you. My family is pleased and appreciative as well .I now have a new knee and improved mobility at age 72 . a retired LCSW from NYC , proud to boost about your world class medical intervention services. Respectfully Submitted , Patricia Samples Kinsler , Texas Transplant 😂
