HOUSTON-KATY-SPRING-CYPRESS and all other surrounding areas....this is the spot!!!! This place has some really really delicious Tex-Mex food. To begin, the service is great and the atmosphere is also great. Its a very small restaurant but it feels very homey. To be very honest this place is making and serving the best Menudo I have ever had. Its extremely delicious the tripe is cooked to perfection the homeny is very soft and the flavor of that broth is out of this world. Another very delicious item are those ground beef enchiladas. Every time I eat these enchiladas they bring so much joy to my heart because they remind me of the ones my late mother used to make. I highly recommend this restaurant for their great service and delicious food. This restaurant is very affordable and they always have some sort of specials. Come give them.a try and I know for a fact they won't disappoint. Thank you La Carrera for making such delicious food.

Cozy place that takes you back to the 90’s when Tejano music and KQQK was a hit in Houston! Delicious Tex Mex food and music that resonates a time when Selena was shining on stage and Emilio Navaira had us all getting in a good workout on the dance floor!

I wish they had longer hours. I’d like to go during the week but they close early M-thurs. The food is good & the people are very friendly & kind. We go there about once every 2 weeks. Their prices are fantastic. Queso is good but which their chips were better. My husband orders the #1 or the menudo & I order the #2.

Leaving this review while I’m eating, The carne quisada taco is to die for!! Every bite is amazing. This is my first time here. The tortilla chips were warm coming out and the salsa verde was really good too. I’ll definitely be back. Also, great music.

Loved this place both times I have been here. My grandfather used to bring my tios back in the day. Great menudo and specials. Barbacoa is great as well
