Best Seafood in Pearland, TX: Gulf Fish, Crawfish and Oysters

Date Published

Best seafood in Pearland TX illustration: curved Gulf shrimp, crawfish, and oyster shells against a Houston night sky

Pearland, the Brazoria County suburb about 15 miles south of downtown Houston on Highway 288, has a seafood scene that punches well above its suburban weight. The city sits close enough to the Gulf Coast that live crawfish and fresh Gulf shrimp are treated as staples, and a steady wave of Viet-Cajun and Cajun restaurants has made the Broadway corridor one of the better boil streets in the Houston metro.

This guide covers ten restaurants confirmed open on their own official websites as of October 2026. We define Pearland as the City of Pearland in Brazoria County, roughly bounded by Beltway 8 to the north, FM 518 near Friendswood to the east, Clear Creek to the south, and Highway 288 to the west. San Leon, Galveston, and Kemah are outside our scope.

How we chose

Ten restaurants, all within Pearland city limits, all with current hours listed on an official website in October 2026. We looked for range: sit-down full-service, fast-casual boil, fish-market hybrid, and an upscale Cajun option. We left out LA Crawfish (confirmed permanently closed, May 2026) and Good Vibes Coastal Kitchen (closed September 27, 2026), plus any spot without an official site showing current hours.

Floyd’s Cajun Seafood

1300 E Broadway St, Pearland — Old Town / East Broadway — open daily

Floyd’s is the anchor of Pearland’s seafood scene: a full-service Cajun restaurant with a shaded oak-tree patio, an oyster bar with freshly grilled oysters, and live entertainment on select evenings. The Crawfish Trio platter gives you boiled, tails, and étouffée in the same order. The gumbo is a standing menu item, and the kitchen adds a Steak Night and Wine Wednesday rotation for variety. Hours are typically Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday until 10 p.m. — check the official site before you go.

Order: Grilled oysters to start, Crawfish Trio as the main.

BB’s Tex-Orleans

9719 Broadway St, Pearland — West Broadway / Shadow Creek Ranch area — open daily

BB’s blends New Orleans boil tradition with a Houston suburban crowd. The centerpiece is the 5-Pound Mound: a pile of crawfish with corn and potatoes, shareable for a table. You pick your sauce style (Tex-Orleans, Bayou, or Citrus-Garlic) before the kitchen starts. The covered outdoor patio keeps it workable year-round, and the kitchen runs Kids Eat Free on Tuesdays. Hours typically run until 10 p.m. weekdays and 11 p.m. Friday–Saturday.

Order: The Mound in Bayou style, or Mama B’s Shrimp & Grits.

Fish City Grill

11200 Broadway St, Pearland — Pearland Town Center / Shadow Creek Ranch — open daily

Fish City Grill is the Pearland pick for Gulf fish that isn’t dressed up in a boil bag. The menu rotates fresh seasonal catches on a chalkboard alongside chargrilled oysters and a raw bar — rare for a suburban location. A half-price wine happy hour runs Sunday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. (not Saturday). A gluten-free menu is available, making it the most accessible for dietary restrictions. Hours typically run 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. weekdays and until 10 p.m. Friday–Saturday.

Order: Whatever’s on the chalkboard catch. Chargrilled oysters as a starter.

Magnolia Cajun Comfort

1807 Broadway St, Suite 113, Pearland — East Broadway — closed Sundays

The most polished table on this list. The executive chef brings a fine-dining résumé to plates like blackened redfish, crawfish pie, and shrimp and grits that most neighborhood Cajun spots don’t attempt. Boudin egg rolls and beignets appear alongside red beans and rice with andouille sausage. Sunday service is private events and catering only — plan for a weeknight or Saturday. Typically open Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday–Saturday until 9 p.m.

Order: Blackened redfish or crawfish étouffée.

Crawfish Cafe

9240 Broadway St, Suite 100, Pearland — West Broadway — open daily

A popular Houston-area Viet-Cajun chain, Crawfish Cafe opened its Pearland location at 9240 Broadway. The kitchen does boiled crawfish, blue crab, shrimp, and lobster tails alongside Viet-Cajun staples: crawfish egg rolls, crawfish empanadas, chargrilled oysters, garlic noodles, and whole-fried flounder. The full Houston crawfish scene has more, but this location means you no longer have to drive into the loop for the chain.

Insider tip: Crawfish Cafe has been in the Houston market since 2013. This is the chain's only Brazoria County location. Compare wait times here versus the inner-loop locations on a Saturday night.

Order: Whole-fried flounder or garlic noodles as a side.

7Spice Cajun Seafood

11011 Shadow Creek Pkwy #113, Pearland — Shadow Creek Ranch — open daily

Named for the seven house spices its founders have used since 2011, 7Spice is a fast-casual Cajun boil with two Pearland locations (a second is at 2701 Pearland Pkwy, Suite 160, with slightly earlier closing hours). The Shadow Creek Ranch location runs the latest: until midnight on Friday and Saturday, which makes it the default option after a late game or movie.

Order: Boiled seafood combo. State your spice level before they start — the kitchen can’t dial it back once it’s in the bag.

All Season Seafood

8201 Broadway St, Suite 115, Pearland — East Broadway

The only restaurant-and-fish-market hybrid on this list. You can dine in on blue-claw crabs, boiled crawfish, jumbo Gulf shrimp, or gator nuggets, or buy the same catch raw to cook at home. The menu covers Cajun and Asian preparations: fried, spicy, classic boil, and Asian-style. The dual model makes it especially useful the week before a crawfish boil you’re hosting, when you want to taste-test and stock up in the same stop. Check the official site for current hours — they vary by day of week.

Order: Blue-claw crabs or Gulf shrimp for the table. Gator nuggets if you’ve never tried them.

Lotus Seafood

11710 Broadway St, Suite 128, Pearland — West Broadway / Shadow Creek Ranch — closed Sundays

Lotus has been in the Houston-area seafood market since 2006, which makes it one of the longer-running Cajun chains around. The Pearland location pours daiquiris alongside the Cajun shrimp and snow crab legs, runs a happy hour, and has a catering operation. Closed Sundays — worth noting if you’re planning a weekend visit. Typically open Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday–Saturday until 10 p.m.

Order: Cajun shrimp or Louisiana fried rice with remixed crawfish.

Bayou Grill

1635 Broadway St, Suite 117, Pearland — East Broadway

The most casual sit-down option. Bayou Grill is family-owned and runs gourmet burgers alongside fried and grilled seafood platters. Seasonal crawfish appears in peak months — live and boiled — alongside a Trio Bucket of shrimp, crawfish, and snow crab when it’s available. Good for a weeknight when you want a platter without the full production of a boil joint. Check the official site for current days and hours.

Order: Trio Bucket in season, or the fried seafood platter year-round.

Steamboat Bill’s

1134 N Main St, Pearland — North Main / Old Town Pearland — open daily

Steamboat Bill’s was founded in Louisiana in 1982, and says the Pearland location is the only Texas outpost of the chain. The menu is Louisiana road-trip Cajun: crawfish étouffée, oyster po’boys, boiled Gulf shrimp, the Captain’s Platter (stuffed shrimp, stuffed crab, filet), boudin balls, fried alligator, and boiled crawfish in season. Open daily from 10:30 a.m. — the earliest opening on this list.

Insider tip: Steamboat Bill’s says this is its only Texas location, which means you can eat authentic Louisiana Cajun seafood without the 90-minute drive east on I-10. Combined with the Pearland dining scene, it makes a compelling case for a full Pearland food day.

Order: Crawfish étouffée or the oyster po’boy.

Save this: the Pearland seafood route

Never drive between restaurants after drinking. Use rideshare or a designated driver.

  1. Lunch: All Season Seafood on East Broadway — grilled crabs or Gulf shrimp to eat in, plus a pound to take home from the market side.
  2. Late afternoon: Fish City Grill at Pearland Town Center — hit the 3–6 p.m. happy hour raw bar and whatever’s on the chalkboard catch.
  3. Dinner: Floyd’s or BB’s — patio, a round of boiled crawfish, and live music at Floyd’s if it’s on the schedule.
