Best Pizza in Clear Lake, TX: Pizzerias by Style, Dine-In or Delivery

Date Published

Pizza Clear Lake illustration: pizza with rocket launch over lake and Houston skyline at night

Here's a Clear Lake thing worth knowing: Mario's in Seabrook says its "Flying Pizza Pie" first reached the Texas coast in 1969, the same year Mission Control, down NASA Parkway at Johnson Space Center, guided Apollo 11 through the first crewed Moon landing. By Mario's own account, hand-tossed pizza and the Moon landing arrived on this stretch of coast in the same year.

The rest of the local pizza map is just as specific. You can order a Neapolitan pie on a street called Saturn Lane, eat wood-fired pizza with a craft beer from a wall of taps, pick up a large from a drive-thru window, or get a pie delivered until midnight from a little shop in Seabrook.

Here's the line to send the group chat: in Clear Lake, pizza night starts with one question. Booth or couch?

This guide sorts the best pizza in Clear Lake by style, then tells you which picks are built for dine-in and which are built for delivery.

What we mean by Clear Lake

Clear Lake is a lake, a Houston neighborhood and the shorthand for the whole NASA area, so here's our line. For this guide, Clear Lake means Houston's Clear Lake neighborhoods (Clear Lake City, the El Dorado Boulevard and Bay Area Boulevard corridors, and NASA Parkway around Johnson Space Center) plus the small cities along the lake's north shore: Webster, Nassau Bay, Taylor Lake Village, El Lago and Seabrook.

We left out League City, Kemah and Friendswood (including the Baybrook Mall area), even though Clear Lake families eat there all the time. For more on the neighborhood itself, start with our Clear Lake area guide.

The quick list

  • For a Neapolitan pie a short drive from Space Center Houston: 1000 Degrees Pizza in Nassau Bay.
  • For New York-style pizza with a 1969 backstory: Mario's in Seabrook.
  • For wood-fired pizza and a long craft beer list: Boondoggles Pub on NASA Parkway.
  • For pizza after 10 p.m.: Midnite Slice in Seabrook.
  • For a family that can't agree on pizza or fried shrimp: Village Pizza & Seafood.
  • For pizza without leaving the car: Buck's Pizza on El Dorado, which has a drive-thru.
  • For a quick one-price personal pizza: MOD Pizza on Clear Lake City Boulevard.
  • For a reliable delivery order on a weeknight: Marco's Pizza on El Dorado.

How we chose

We started with local pizza places on the map and the Bay Area's visitor directory, then kept only places that show a Clear Lake-area location on their own official website, with current hours, a menu or online ordering. Every pick below was checked that way in October 2026. We favored independent and regional pizzerias that do something specific, and included a couple of chains because they fill a real gap, like late hours or fast delivery.

Some places we wanted to include didn't make it, either because their official sites blocked us or because their listing no longer shows them as open. If your favorite is missing, that's probably why, not a judgment on the pizza.

Hours change, so treat every schedule here as "typically" and check the official site before you go.

Neapolitan and wood-fired

1000 Degrees Pizza

Nassau Bay, 18032 Saturn Ln · dine-in, takeout, delivery

1000 Degrees bakes its pizzas in rotating ovens it says fire at 1,000 degrees, which is how a pie comes out blistered and fast. You build your own pizza down the line, Neapolitan-style or Roman-style, and the chain's selling point is a flat price no matter how many toppings you pile on. There's a cauliflower crust too.

What to order: build a Neapolitan-style pie with fresh mozzarella and basil, then add the toppings you'd normally skip because they cost extra elsewhere.

Why it's on the list: it's an easy, fast, real-oven pizza near Johnson Space Center. The Nassau Bay store typically opens before 11 a.m. daily, which makes it an easy lunch before or after Space Center Houston.

Boondoggles Pub

El Lago area, NASA Parkway · dine-in

Boondoggles is a roomy pub that says it specializes in gourmet pizzas from a wood-burning oven, with more than 50 craft beers on tap and a full bar. It's the pick when pizza is the excuse and the evening is the point.

What to order: the Tejas, with chorizo, andouille, onions and Texas goat cheese over romano and provolone. If the table wants something lighter, the Florentini is a white pizza with artichoke hearts, spinach and eggplant.

Why it's on the list: it's our favorite Clear Lake answer for adults who want pizza and a beer list, and there's a kids' menu with cheese, pepperoni and sausage pizzas for anyone 12 and under. It typically opens at 11 a.m., and earlier on Sundays, at 10 a.m.; the menu has a brunch section too.

New York-style and hand-tossed

Mario's Pizza & Pasta

Seabrook, 2100 NASA Pkwy, Suite 100 · dine-in, takeout, delivery

Mario's tells its own origin story on its website: the "Famous Flying Pizza Pie," old-fashioned, hand-tossed New York-style pizza, came to the Texas coast in 1969. Today it's a full Italian restaurant with pasta, house specialties and a salad bar, but the pizza is still the reason people go.

Pies come in 10-inch, 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. Mario's also takes reservations and runs its own delivery service, so it works both ways.

What to order: a large cheese or one-topping to judge the crust, plus the White Pizza, made with garlic butter instead of pizza sauce under parmesan and mozzarella.

Insider tip: if you're dining in, add the salad bar. Mario's menu prices it lower when you order it with a pizza.

Why it's on the list: it's Clear Lake's classic family pizza dinner, and the 1969 story is the best trivia on this page.

Village Pizza & Seafood

Seabrook, 3568 NASA Pkwy · restaurant, online ordering

Village is a family-owned Bay Area chain that has been making pizza since 1995, with six locations around the region. The concept is right there in the name: homemade pizza and fried seafood from one kitchen. Dough is made fresh daily, and the house cheese is a blend of mozzarella, provolone and cheddar.

What to order: the Village 10-Topping Special if you're hungry, or the Philly steak pizza with bell peppers, mushrooms and onions. Add a seafood plate for the table.

Why it's on the list: it solves the most common Clear Lake dinner standoff, when half the car wants pizza and the other half wants fried shrimp.

Late-night and neighborhood slices

Midnite Slice

Seabrook, 1605 Main St · dine-in, takeout, delivery

Midnite Slice is a neighborhood pizza shop in Seabrook that typically opens at 3 p.m. and stays open until midnight. It runs its own in-house delivery, and you can also eat inside or out under the property's big oak trees.

What to order: start with one of the specialty pizzas on the online menu, and save room for something from the "For the Sweet Tooth" section.

Why it's on the list: it's the late-night pizza answer for the whole Clear Lake shore. For more after-dark ideas across the city, see our late-night food guide.

Built for delivery and pickup

Buck's Pizza

Clear Lake, 907 El Dorado Blvd · dine-in, curbside, delivery, drive-thru

Buck's is a regional chain that has been making pizza since 1994, and the Clear Lake store on El Dorado offers dine-in, curbside pickup, delivery and a drive-thru window. That last one is rarer than you'd think for a pizzeria.

What to order: whatever the kids want, ordered ahead, picked up through the window on the way home from practice.

Why it's on the list: for pickup, it's about as low-effort as pizza gets. It typically stays open until 10 p.m., later on Friday and Saturday.

Marco's Pizza

Clear Lake City, 5440 El Dorado Blvd, Suite 100 · carryout, delivery

Marco's is a national chain, but the El Dorado store earns a spot as the weeknight delivery default for Clear Lake City and Bay Area Boulevard. Its delivery zone covers several local ZIP codes, including 77058, 77059 and 77062, and the store typically stays open late, until 11 p.m. most nights and midnight two nights a week.

What to order: a classic pepperoni, ordered online so you can track it.

Why it's on the list: when you want pizza at the door and don't want to think about it, this is the one.

MOD Pizza

Clear Lake City, 3351 Clear Lake City Blvd, Suite 1000 · dine-in, pickup, delivery

MOD is fast-casual: you choose from more than 30 toppings, they build your personal pizza in front of you, and you pay one price regardless of what you add. It typically opens at 10:30 a.m. and stays open until 10 p.m., or 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

What to order: a build-your-own with everything you like, since the price doesn't change.

Why it's on the list: it's the fastest way to feed a group where everyone wants something different.
