- Date Night in the Energy Corridor: 10 Dinners, Drinks and Walks
For a date night in the Energy Corridor, book dinner at Lynn's Steakhouse on Dairy Ashford Road or Lomonte's Italian Restaurant & Bar on Grisby Road. Then add a drink by the lake at the Hyatt Regency Houston West, or an early-evening walk along Buffalo Bayou in Terry Hershey Park. For something more casual, Sylvia's Enchilada Kitchen, Blue Agave Cantina and Naam Khao Thai Kitchen & Bar on and around Eldridge Parkway keep things easy, and Naam Khao's kitchen typically takes orders until 11:30 p.m.
Here's the line to remember: in a district known for oil and gas, the best-stocked cellar is a wine cellar. Lynn's Steakhouse says its list runs to some 11,000 bottles from more than 900 labels, and it has been on Dairy Ashford since 1985.
Where is the Energy Corridor, for this guide?
The Energy Corridor is the office district along the Katy Freeway (I-10) in west Houston, between Addicks and Barker reservoirs. The Energy Corridor District describes its footprint as more than 2,000 acres along I-10 from Kirkwood Road to west of Barker Cypress Road, with an arm reaching south along Eldridge Parkway to south of Briar Forest Drive.
We used that footprint plus the neighborhoods directly around it between Kirkwood Road and Highway 6, north of Westheimer Road. That brings in Lynn's on Dairy Ashford and Terry Hershey Park on Memorial Drive. It leaves out CityCentre and Memorial City, which are east of Kirkwood and covered in our Memorial date night guide. For the bigger picture, start with our Energy Corridor area guide.

How we chose
We picked places inside the boundary above with a reason to go on a date: a room with atmosphere, food worth sharing, a patio or something to do together. Each was confirmed as operating on its own official website in November 2026, or, for the park, on the official Harris County Precinct 4 page. The Hyatt's own site blocked our check, so we confirmed its bar through the Energy Corridor District's event calendar.
Hours and menus change, so treat every time and price here as typical and check before you go.
