Best Coffee Shops in Tomball, TX: 8 Independent Cafes and a Walk

Coffee shops Tomball illustration: steaming cup, cafe cottage under a live oak, railroad tracks

The best coffee shops in Tomball, TX are Honor Society Coffee Co. and 1821 Coffee Fusion on Houston Street in Old Town, Copan Coffee Roasters’ Coffee Lab on S. Persimmon Street, and Manna Bread from Heaven on Commerce Street. If you need a laptop table, Manna and Just Love Coffee Cafe both list free Wi-Fi, and Barbarossa Coffee on FM 2920 typically stays open until 8 p.m. every day. All eight shops below are independent or locally owned, and all were confirmed open in October 2026.

Here’s what makes Tomball different from the chain-heavy stretches of SH 249: almost every cup comes with a family story. A roastery whose family started in coffee in Honduras in 1985. A Salvadoran family’s cafe named for a year. A pie shop built to honor a soldier. A juice-and-coffee bar inside a nonprofit with a pay-it-forward meal program. And a small cafe under a live oak that its founders say is more than 125 years old.

In Tomball, the coffee comes with a backstory. Six of these eight cafes sit in or right beside Old Town, so you can do most of this list on foot.

How we chose, and where we drew the Tomball line

This guide counts coffee shops with a Tomball street address, in the 77375 and 77377 ZIP codes. Six picks are in or beside Old Town Tomball, inside the city. Two (Barbarossa on FM 2920 and Just Love on Sunset Canyon Drive) are on the suburban side of Tomball and may sit outside the city limits proper, but both carry Tomball addresses and serve Tomball neighborhoods. We left out The Woodlands’ Creekside Park, Magnolia and Spring, even where a shop’s mailing address says Tomball.

Every pick had to be confirmed open on its own website or official ordering page in October 2026. We left out chains (PJ’s Coffee, 7 Brew, Dutch Bros, Dunkin’) and shops we could not confirm as currently open. Hours change, so treat every schedule below as “typically” and check before you go.

Old Town Tomball

Honor Society Coffee Co.

105 Houston St., Tomball, TX 77375 · order ahead at honorsocietycoffeeco.com

Honor Society Coffee Co. in Old Town Tomball is the coffee shop people mean when they say Tomball has a good one. It sits in a small freestanding building just off Main Street, under a live oak the founders put at more than 125 years old. Honor Society added a 530-square-foot porch, which doubled its seating, so on a mild morning the porch is the place to be. The shop opened in 2022 and started as an online coffee brand before that.

What to order: one of the house signature lattes, and take it outside. The menu changes, so check the ordering page for what’s on now.

Best for: a slow morning on the porch, or a coffee to carry on a walk through Old Town. Posted hours weren’t available when we checked, so confirm them on the ordering page before you go.

1821 Coffee Fusion

213 Houston St., Tomball, TX 77375 · brunch typically Monday–Friday 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

1821 Coffee Fusion is a Salvadoran family-owned coffee shop on Houston Street, on the same short stretch as Honor Society. The name is the shop’s favorite piece of trivia: 1821 is the year many Latin American countries won independence, and the cafe says it was also the year Texas began its own path to independence. The family’s coffee roots go back further than the shop: the cafe says the owners’ grandfather spent more than 45 years in the coffee industry.

What to order: the drink of the month, which rotates with the season, plus a panini. On weekdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., there’s a brunch menu too.

Best for: Latin-inspired coffee drinks you won’t find at a chain. Check 1821coffeefusion.com for the current menu before you go.

Manna Bread from Heaven

306 Commerce St., Tomball, TX 77375 · typically Monday–Saturday 7 a.m.–4 p.m.; closed Sunday

Manna Bread from Heaven is Old Town Tomball’s most work-friendly cafe. Its website lists cozy seating and free Wi-Fi, and the bakery-cafe has a full espresso bar. The storefront is Jerusalem-inspired, with arches, reclaimed timber beams, greenery and marble tables. The house drip is bottomless, which matters if you plan to stay a while.

What to order: a cortado or a pour-over, or a latte with one of the house syrups (lavender, cookie butter, cinnamon bun, spiced brown sugar). London Fog and matcha lattes are there for tea drinkers. To eat, get the Liège waffle (there’s a gluten-free option) or the sausage-and-cheese kolache.

Best for: a laptop morning, or a gluten-free pastry run. It’s closed Sundays, so plan Saturday visits. Manna also appears in our best brunch in Tomball guide.

Victory Pie Company

110 S. Pine St., Tomball, TX 77375 · typically Tuesday–Friday 9:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Saturday from 8:30 a.m.

Victory Pie Company is a pie cafe first, but it belongs on a Tomball coffee list for one reason: the pie and coffee flight. Founder Sheila Blue started the business to honor her brother, who was killed in action in Afghanistan. The name is a nod to the Victory Gardens of World War II, and pie sales help support military and veteran nonprofits.

What to order: a coffee flight with a slice, or a pie flight if you can't pick one of the more than 35 flavors. If you’re hungry, the chicken pot pie was the founder’s first recipe and is still the most popular item.

Best for: a mid-morning coffee-and-dessert stop. It isn't open on Sundays or Mondays.

Re:Bar Cafe & Juicestillery

416 W. Main St., Tomball, TX 77375 · downstairs at The Renewal Center

Re:Bar Cafe & Juicestillery is the Old Town Tomball coffee stop for people who also want something green. It’s a “bar” with no alcohol: the cafe sits downstairs at The Renewal Center, a nonprofit on W. Main Street, and pours locally roasted coffee, nitro cold brew, adaptogen drinks, teas and cold-pressed juice. The almond milk is made in house. Its official page also describes a pay-it-forward program, so a guest who can’t pay for a meal can still eat.

What to order: a nitro cold brew or a latte with the house-made almond milk, and a cold-pressed juice for the road.

Best for: a lighter, gluten-free-friendly stop on Main Street. Posted hours weren’t available when we checked, so call or check the cafe page before you go.

Copan Coffee Roasters and the Copan Coffee Lab

716 S. Persimmon St., Suite A, Tomball, TX 77375 · Coffee Lab typically Monday–Friday 7 a.m.–3 p.m.

Copan Coffee Roasters is the deepest coffee story in Tomball. The Dunaway family’s coffee business started in Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras, in 1985 and has roasted in Tomball since 2002. The roastery sources through direct-trade relationships with producers and roasts in small batches. Its Coffee Lab, a coffee trailer at the roastery, serves espresso, matcha, chai and single-origin pour-overs on weekdays.

Here’s the tip worth saving: Copan holds a free community tasting on the second Friday of every month at 2:30 p.m. It’s a guided tasting of three coffees, and walk-ins are welcome while spots last. If you want to go deeper, the roastery’s Coffee Intro 101 class takes no more than six people. Check copancoffeeroasters.com for class dates and prices.

What to order: a single-origin pour-over, then a bag of Honduran beans to take home.

Best for: coffee nerds, gift shopping, and anyone who wants to taste what “roasted down the street” means.

Beyond Old Town

Barbarossa Coffee

9166 FM 2920, Suite 100, Tomball, TX 77375 · typically Monday–Friday 6 a.m.–8 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m.–8 p.m., Sunday 8 a.m.–8 p.m.

Barbarossa Coffee on FM 2920 is the Tomball coffee shop with the longest hours: it’s open until 8 p.m. every day. Barbarossa is a specialty coffee company headquartered in nearby Magnolia, so the Tomball shop is a local outfit, not a national chain.

What to order: a latte or one of the seasonal specials, and ask the barista what's on drip that day.

Best for: working past 5 p.m., and anyone on the FM 2920 side of town.

Just Love Coffee Cafe

13727 Sunset Canyon Dr., Suite 400, Tomball, TX 77377 · typically Monday–Friday 6 a.m.–5 p.m., Saturday–Sunday 6:30 a.m.–4 p.m.

Just Love Coffee Cafe in Tomball is part of a coffee roaster’s cafe network, but each cafe is locally owned, and the Tomball cafe has its own following. It opens at 6 a.m. on weekdays and lists free Wi-Fi, dine-in seating, free parking and a kids’ menu. The food is built around the waffle iron, with what the cafe calls waffle-ironed creations.

What to order: a latte, plus something off the waffle iron.

Best for: an early work session with a real breakfast, or a family stop on the 77377 side of Tomball.

Save this: an Old Town Tomball coffee walk

Save this for a Saturday. Park once in Old Town and walk.

  1. 9 a.m.: start at the Tomball Farmers Market, 205 W. Main St., which typically runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (tomballfarmersmarket.org).
  2. 9:45 a.m.: cross to Honor Society Coffee Co. at 105 Houston St. Order a signature latte and grab a porch seat under the live oak.
  3. 10:30 a.m.: walk up Houston Street to 1821 Coffee Fusion at 213 Houston St. Try the drink of the month.
  4. 11:15 a.m.: head to Victory Pie Company at 110 S. Pine St. for a coffee flight and a slice. It's a daytime cafe, so don't leave it for the afternoon.
  5. Before 4 p.m.: finish at Manna Bread from Heaven, 306 Commerce St., with a pastry from the case to take home.

On a weekday, swap the farmers market for Copan’s Coffee Lab on S. Persimmon Street. If it’s the second Friday of the month, time it for the free 2:30 p.m. tasting.

Before you go: a quick checklist

  • Manna and Victory Pie are closed on Sundays, and Victory Pie is also closed on Mondays.
  • Copan’s Coffee Lab is a weekday operation, and Re:Bar doesn’t post hours online, so call ahead.
  • For working past 5 p.m., go to Barbarossa on FM 2920, which is typically open until 8 p.m. every day.
  • Free Wi-Fi is listed by Manna Bread from Heaven and Just Love Coffee Cafe.
  • For beans to take home, try Copan (Honduran and single origins) or Barbarossa (small-batch single origins).
  • Check each shop’s site the day you go; small shops change hours.
