Aloha Hawaiian BBQ express

I actually ordered the Hawaiian bbq beef mix, and ended up getting the bbq beef by mistake. Not tripping because it was really good. Customer service was good as well. When I called about it, they were really pleasant. Shrimp was good too. I’ll definitely be back.

First time and me and my gf love the food. The Hawaii BBQ mix. The musubi is delicious and the owners super nice. We definitely coming back again.

This place really hit the spot. I was looking for some authentic Hawaiian bbq since I haven’t had it since Maui. Chicagoland area doesn’t really produce any good ones. It’s located in a strip mall with ample parking. When you walk in, you order from the counter, then you sit down, and they bring it out for you. We got the family meal that feeds 4-6. It comes with white rice, macaroni salad, crab rangoon, and you select 3 kinds of meat. We chose bbq chicken, kalua pork, and kalbi short ribs. We also got spam musubi. Service was excellent. The staff was really nice and attentive. Bbq chicken was flavorful and tender. Very little chew. Kalua pork was moist and bursting with flavor after that first bite. Highly recommend. Kalbi short ribs was perfectly cooked and juicy. Spam musubi you have to eat it together because spam itself is salty. The rice and seaweed evens out the saltiness. Prices were fair for the amount of food.

This is the 1st time I have been to this restaurant since the name changed. I must say that all the food is still good! I was happy to see they still had a Tuesday special for $7. The Katsu was fresh and still hot. The short ribs were a little bland . I will definitely be back often.

Frankie is the most sweetest, loveable, respectful and funny person. I enjoy coming in he remember your name and what you order. The shrimp is what I get all the time. I love their macaroni salad . I've always hated macaroni salad until my nephew P.J. asked me to try it here. Loved it💜 Thanks Frankie for taking care of me for 6 years. 🏝️Mele Kalikimaka 🎄
