To lay your head down for a night this will serve its purpose. But don't expect much more. There were some cosmetic issues with the room like the microwave door being broken but the room was tiddy. The real issue is the shuttle service and the rude driver. On check in you are prompted to sign up for time for pick up, great. You are also told you need to be in the lobby 20 minutes prior to pick up, waiting. What is not told to you is that the shuttle will be here 20 mins prior as well. My partner and I had been sitting in their lobby for upwards to three hours waiting for pick up. The young lady came to us 15 mins prior to ask us if we are waiting for the shuttle and to let us know the shuttle was hear. So we begin to start making our way to the shuttle packing our things up. Not 30 seconds later the driver is in causing a commotion, "where they at? I got a schedule to keep. Im going to leave." By this juncture we are not late and we're just alerted that she was here. And she left. Upon speaking with the young lady at the front desk, it can be compared to speaking with a wall. Simply repeating you needed to be here 20 mins prior. We had been sitting in the lobby for 3hrs, what do you mean? The long and the short of it is that its unprofessional and a service like this shouldn't be offered without the parameters being articulated fully. Its a shame.

Every single staff member I encountered (AM - PM) has been kind and professional. Even more, it is clear there is a great culture here as they get along well and support each other- it makes for a familial feel and a very welcoming environment. The room was clean and the shower/towel set and bed were comfortable. To be honest, I was surprised to see this lower budget hotel offering all the various amenities that it does, from breakfast to an outdoor pool to 24/7 a fitness room. It made a frustrating travel delay **almost** enjoyable. In fact, I wouldn't too much mind if I'm 'stuck' overnight in the Houston area again as I know exactly which hotel I'll be returning to!

Had an awesome stay here! The rooms were spacious, and very comfortable. The pool area was great and made the stay even more relaxing. The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, and the free shuttle service was super helpful and hassle-free. Staff was friendly throughout the stay. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

We arrived around 845 with two tired kids. The front desk took over 30 mins just to speak to us..they were on the phone with something else that must have been much more important than just giving us our room key so we could put our kids to bed.. Other than that, it was convenient being close to the airport. Shower had some mystery substance in it…

The front desk lady was very nice, and the hotel store was well stocked. The gym is small, but it works fine for a quick workout. Unfortunately, the main things that matter in a hotel room were disappointing, especially for a stay that came out to just over $100 total. There was no shower curtain, the towels smelled musty, there was mold in the shower, stains on the sheets, and a large crack in the door. Those are hard things to overlook when you’re trying to feel comfortable and clean during a stay. Also, be aware that there is another Wingate Hotel nearby, so make sure you verify with the shuttle driver before leaving the airport, or you may end up at the wrong one. I was debating between 2 and 3 stars, but after looking at the pros and cons, the things that mattered most were all negatives.
