The Reside

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and I would strongly warn anyone against staying here. We found roaches in the room, and management showed absolutely no concern for my allergy to roaches or for our safety. Instead of taking the issue seriously, they tried to move us to another room as if that would solve the problem. Everyone knows roaches are not usually just “one bug,” and they can travel through vents and walls from room to room. Moving us was not a solution. To make matters worse, the balcony door was left open, and would not close properly at all. which was a huge safety concern on top of the roach issue. I was shocked when management claimed their housekeeper had “inspected” the room and found nothing. How could the room have been properly inspected without noticing roaches and the balcony door open? What made this even more upsetting was how unprofessional the manager was. She actually admitted to me that she Googled whether a roach allergy was even real. I could not believe that instead of showing concern, she questioned my allergy at all. That was beyond disrespectful and completely unacceptable. This entire situation was handled terribly from start to finish. There was no accountability, and no real concern for our health, safety, or comfort, refused to give me a refund because she could move me to a room downstairs??? Roaches travel through vents, if one room is unsanitary.. imagine the rest. I have an ALLERY... this is not something I could just shrug off and kill the roaches throughout my stay. Imagine walking Into your room, to watch roaches scatter and the balcony door open! According to the manger the room was cleaned and inspected! What a joke! We did not feel safe staying there and immediately left. If you care at all about cleanliness, professionalism, and guest safety, stay somewhere else. We went to a hotel 6 mins away, $100 cheaper. 10/10 Hyatt Medical center.

We had a great experience staying at Reside Houston during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. We stayed in both a one-bedroom and a three-bedroom apartment, and both were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Ericka was an exceptional host—very prompt, accommodating, and quick to answer any questions we had. Her communication made the entire stay smooth and stress-free. The location was a huge plus, as it’s within walking distance to NRG Stadium, which made getting to and from the stockshow incredibly convenient. Parking was also easy and secure in the gated lot. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend Reside Houston to anyone visiting the area!

The place was cute! We stayed here for a few nights and it worked out great. The bed was super comfy, but more than anything I would like to give a huge shoutout to Erika. She was so kind and responsive!! We had lost some keys in the apartment and she worked diligently for the week after to help us coordinate and get it back to us. Thank you so much!!

A little late with the review. My brother, dad, and I stayed at the Reside for 3 days before we went to another location. The room setup was nice. Location was great. Positives stop there. There was a welcome basket with chips and candy when we arrived. All of the stuff was outdated by several months. Almost broke my teeth on the twizzlers. The shower was disgusting. It was dirty, faucet, shower head, and liner bar were all rusty. The floor was so gross. I had white slippers that were black almost immediately. There was nothing to clean with either. The worst was my bed. The pillows, sheets, and mattress were so gross. Yellow, stained, and the mattress looked like it was recovered from a kids room after a hurricane soaked it. When I told the manager, she offered nothing. The day we left, she came to the room and offered snacks for the road because she “felt bad” about the bed. I passed, as I’m sure the snacks were outdated. Will never stay there again.

My family and I stayed at The Reside for Christmas to attend the Texans vs Ravens game, December 24-26, 2024, and had a great time. Erika was very pleasant to work with. When I text her, she responded very quickly, even after we left and returned home, she responded to my text. Our condo was spacious and big enough for all 4 of us. The condo was clean, beds were comfortable, and I was able to cook Christmas breakfast and warm up my pre-cooked Christmas dinner. We had the best time and would definitely stay here again on a return trip to the Houston area. Thank you Erika for your great hospitality and welcoming my family and I to your property. Keasha
