Stayed here 2 years ago and it was great. We just stayed again and had an awful experience. No amenities. The first time we stayed there was breakfast and general hotel amenities like shampoos and soaps for the shower. This trip no breakfast no toiletries. Had to ask for toilet paper. Did not sleep the first night of our stay due to excessively noisy air conditioner unit and refrigerator and an unidentified source of other noise. Awful. The woman working then graciously moved us to a different room. She was helpful but we never saw her again and the the other staff we saw the most were unhelpful. Our second room of the stay had the smoke alarm go off at 4:30 - 5 AM Saturday while we slept. We thought the hotel was on fire and grabbed keys and wallet to hurry out due to the fire alarm. But no, it was only going off in our room and there was no smoke or anything. The person at the service desk was oblivious though the sound carried all the way up front and had to have woken up everyone in rooms near us. The clerk didn't care so I had to pull and deactivate the alarm in our room. Not hard but it seems like something staff should be actively concerned about and would want to investigate to ensure we didnt do anything (we were asleep). There was no offer to accommodate our inconvenience at being woken up for more poorly maintained equipment in the hotel. Saturday being the most important day of the event we were in town for and we weren't even able to get a night's sleep until our last night there. By that time we were exhausted and thoroughly annoyed. Both rooms we were infested with little flies, possibly fleas. It was gross having to shoo and smack the creatures in the limited time we spent in the rooms. The bed was okay, but the pillows are terrible and asking for an additional pillow is useless unless you do it at a specific time of day. No customer service or care. We stayed here specifically due to our positive experience in the past. So for it be so terrible 2 years later is very frustrating. We basically needed a place to sleep a few hours for 3 nights and 2 of those nights we couldn't even get that. Due to the noise and alarms going off we absolutely should be comped at least a single night of our 3 night stay but no one there can help you. They can't help you get a pillow. They won't help you fix their malfunctioning equipment. They have to text someone offsite to print a receipt. No one will help you. Stay away from this place.

I like this Studio 6 but I have a few things that need to be addressed. First for being a 100% smoke free property should include the parking lot. I shouldn’t walk into the building and walk into someone’s second hand smoke because they are smoking right outside the building. Brought it to the desk clerk’s attention and he seemed like he didn’t care. Oh and there were children on premises. Texas state law requires 21+ to be around smoking. Furthermore my wife is allergic to cigarette smoke and almost passed out while driving. Second when I went to make coffee there was a used coffee pod in the coffee pot. Plus I found an ear pod in the top of the coffee pot where the coffee pod goes. Like someone was trying to listen to people in the room. Third the room was great but why was the microwave and toaster to high up? Like if someone is 4’11 or 5 foot or under 5’5 they can’t reach them. Also there was no cookware for the kitchen. Like were we supposed to buy our own cookware? Like we’re on vacation not going to travel home with them. Also they only gave 3 towels for a room that fits 6. Like what were we supposed to do share towels? (Eww gross) Also since when are customers supposed to bring their towels to the front desk? Isn’t that what housekeeping is for? And what’s with only two pillows for a queen bed? Normal people sleep with two pillows each so there should be four pillows per bed. Fourth brought all this to the front desk people and they seemed like they didn’t care. One guy was black (I’m not racist that’s just his race and I didn’t catch his name) and the other guy was Indian (again not racist just his race and I didn’t get his name either). I have been to a lot of motels and this one has been the worse one. Oh I almost forgot when the cleaning crew came in to clean the rug they used pine sol or something with pine in it and it’s TOXIC to dogs. Not to mention that I being asthmatic could barely breathe walking through the halls. Something needs to be done because if either myself or my animals went to the hospital I would have sued them. DO BETTER PEOPLE. Oh one more thing if people are going to bring kids they need to have respect for others that are there for vacation.

The bed is very unpleasant. It got distorted easily. If you have 2 consecutive booking, you have to check out and check in again unless you want to pay $25 for “early check in”. So you pay $25 in order for them to not have to clean that same room.

They are doing some remodeling, but other than that it's a good place to stay. My room came with two queen beds and were comfortable. It also had a kitchenette as well as a full size refrigerator. The wifi was periodically slow, but overall it worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable.

If you book a room using 2 bookings, they will force you to check out at 11 and check in after 3 unless you pay $25 for “early checking” to keep the same dirty room. It actually saves them the cleaning work, but I have to pay for that? Make it make sense.
