Friendly staff. Lobby area and dining area were clean. Our room was spacious. Breakfast was pretty good. Giving 5 stars especially cause I left my watch, ring, and necklace in the bedroom. I didn’t realize it until we got to the air port to go home. It was around 4:30 am when my husband called the hotel and spoke to security. Security assured my husband that when the manager comes in that they will look in the room. The manager had called and spoke to my husband to inform him that they did see my items and will keep them safe for me since I would have to fill out the info where the items should be sent. I was given a link and filled out the info and paid for the shipping. In a few days the items were back home with me which I’m very grateful as they are sentimental to me. My experience and my family’s experience there was great!

From start to finish, our experience was absolutely exceptional. The level of service and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable. Monica and Elena at the front desk were amazing — always welcoming us with a smile, professional, attentive, and making every interaction seamless and enjoyable. Bartender Jose was outstanding as well, creating a fun atmosphere and providing excellent service with some of the best drinks. The entire staff made us feel valued and taken care of every step of the way. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for top-notch hospitality!

I had an uncomfortable experience on Sunday 4/26 in the afternoon around 2:30 PM at the front desk. The staff member on duty would not allow homeless prophetsto go to a room, even though they said they had been invited. I understand that there may be policies in place, but the situation could have been handled with more kindness and respect. It’s important to remember that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, regardless of their circumstances. Life can change for anyone at any time, and a little compassion goes a long way.

I am a Titanium Elite member and Lifetime Platinum Elite member, and after years of staying at Marriott properties across the country, this was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. I originally booked a two-bedroom suite for a three-week stay. Upon arrival, I was informed that no two-bedroom suites were available, so I was placed in a one-bedroom suite with the understanding that I would be moved to the two-bedroom suite when one became available. Approximately 10 days into my stay, I stopped by the front desk to inquire about moving into the two-bedroom suite that I had originally reserved. The front desk manager informed me that the two-bedroom suites were being reserved for guests with family members in the nearby hospital and that I would not be able to move into one. She then told me that in order to get a two-bedroom suite, I would need to cancel my current reservation and make a new reservation, which would also result in a $150 cancellation fee because, according to her, I had booked two separate reservations. When I attempted to explain that I had originally booked a two-bedroom suite and tried to show her my reservation confirmation on my computer, she abruptly told me that she was "done talking" to me and that she was not going to look at anything I had to show her. She completely dismissed me without allowing me to explain the situation or review the documentation I had readily available. What made the experience even worse was the way she spoke to me in front of other guests. Her tone was rude, condescending, and unprofessional. I felt embarrassed and disrespected. At no point did she make any effort to understand the issue or provide a reasonable solution. Throughout my years of staying at Marriott properties, I have never encountered a situation where a guest was required to cancel and rebook a reservation in order to receive the room type that was originally reserved when it became available. More importantly, I have never been treated with such disregard by a Marriott manager. I understand that room availability issues can happen. What I do not understand is treating a loyal Marriott guest with disrespect and refusing to even review the information being presented. This experience fell far below the level of service I have come to expect from Marriott and left me extremely disappointed.

My wife and I stay at this particular Residence Inn because it's simply the all-around best. The staff are the best part of this hotel. I wish I could name every one on the employees at this hotel because, during each of our multiple stays, we have encountered almost all of them. And every one of them is super friendly, helpful and pleasant. They all appear to really like their job. This is very important in view of the fact that many if not most of the guests there are visiting Houston for medical reasons (and most likely due to a cancer diagnosis). The staff knows this. And they are very caring in the way they interact with guests. The last thing a cancer patient needs is to encounter difficulties at their hotel. That doesn't happen at the Residence Inn. I am a loyal Marriot person and a lifetime platinum/titanium member. I have stayed at many Marriot hotels of all levels in the U.S .and in Europe. This Residence Inn stands out among all of them. I could ramble on about why this is the best bet for anyone who needs to stay at a hotel in the medical center region of Houston. I'll simply end it here by naming some of the employees who deserve credit for being a great employee: Sotero Victoria Bianca Janae Monica . . . and I wish I had every employee's name to recite here. We'll be back, and we'll of course stay at this hotel. Don't miss out. None of this is an exaggeration of our experience there (and we rarely leave comments).
