I recently stayed here, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was extremely helpful and attended to all our requests immediately. The property is located on the outskirts of the city, making it a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Although our visit was short, it was truly memorable. The property is very hygienic, well-maintained, and beautifully managed. The staff is polite, humble, and well-behaved. I felt completely at home during my stay. Highly recommended!

As an IHG Platinum Elite member, I expected a much higher standard of service during my reward night stay at Holiday Inn Channelview, Texas. Unfortunately, this stay was filled with disappointment from start to finish. Upon arrival, I discovered the jacuzzi was out of order. What concerned me most was the lack of proper safety precautions. The only warnings were a couple of “Wet Floor” signs, a chair, and a painter’s drop cloth covering the area. For a hotel welcoming families and children, this felt careless and unsafe. The first room assigned to me had a strong mildew odor. Traveling with three children, this was unacceptable. When I reported the issue, the response was simply, “This is your new room number,” and I was handed a single key card. There was no apology, no assistance moving rooms, and no effort to ensure my family was comfortable. Looking back, that should have been my first indication of how the rest of the stay would go. The front desk associate was incredibly kind and informed me that breakfast was included. She even confirmed this with the breakfast attendant. Imagine my surprise when I was charged for breakfast two days later. To make matters worse, when I called for clarification, no one could even tell me what the charge was for. At one point, I was told it was related to my dinner reservation, despite the fact that I had already paid for dinner in cash. The most frustrating part has been the complete lack of accountability afterward. I contacted IHG Customer Care and was directed back to the hotel. The hotel claimed they had communicated with me, which is simply untrue. My communication preferences are email and text specifically so there is a written record. I was promised a follow-up within 24 to 48 hours and never received one. Now, despite the hotel’s failure to respond, IHG continues telling me to wait on the hotel for a resolution. If you’re looking for a hotel that fails to meet expectations during a reward night stay, provides inconsistent information, and leaves guests chasing answers long after checkout, this is the place for you. As a loyal IHG member, this experience has been extremely disappointing. Don’t let the lobby area fool you they have not upgraded or renovated anything. They don’t know how to treat anybody. The only friendly stuff encountered was the friendly front desk agent in the morning that said my breakfast would be included and the bar staff and restaurant attending at breakfast area.

I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was great, and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. They made me feel welcome and were always willing to assist. I enjoyed my month-long stay and would happily recommend this hotel to others.

Brought my kids to a nearby function and this location was perfect. The pool was ice cold and the advertised hot tub/spa is no longer operable and had chairs stacked on it. I would have picked a different location if I would have known the amenities were not as advertised. The Continental breakfast was tasty and the rooms were pretty clean but the bathroom door would not latch no matter what we did to it. Went to the "sports bar" which is pretty much like a cafeteria. Sat down for a meal and waited 20 minutes without getting acknowledged. Decided to leave since there were six other tables without food to them yet.
