Holiday Inn Express & Suites HOU I 10 West Energy Corridor

Hotel is supposed to be a City express by Marriott however the change hasn't happened yet and they are operating under comfort inn still. The first lady I dealt with was ok. Had to wait for a manager for him to explain that they were supposed to be changed over to Marriott last week but the sign hasn't came in. Ok fine he honored the rate that I had. No bathroom in lobby, breakfast sucked the juice machine did not work so youe only options were coffee or milk. Now to the room, everything in the room was Marriott decor wise still needed some fixing. Refrigerator leaking, microwave didn't work. I went to the lobby and used the lobby microwave and the rude agent told me I couldn't. I told her the microwave didn't work she said someone will be up. Never happened. No the last night I came in about 3am ish and my key wouldn't open the locked door the stupid agent stared at me continuously trying I'm telling her what room I was in. Eventually she opened it. As of today the Marriot sign is coming in. Hopefully they'll have better customer service cause this was horrible. I want my Marriott rewards and now I have to jump through hurdlwa to get them. June 6-june 8 were my dates

Here are my 3 major reasons why I will not stay here again. 1. I was given a key, when I got to the room, there was a clear bag with some items in it, I thought maybe house keeping sat it there because she was two doors down. So I walk in the room and the door comes off the hinges. 2. The lady at the front desk gives me another key to another room, so my baby and I open the door and walk in and there’s someone’s clothes, food, smokes, shoes etc in the room . Wasn’t sure if someone was in the bathroom because I grabbed my baby and ran out. 3. This is the main reason I will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL NOR STAY THERE EVER AGAIN. My daughter and I were laying in the bed watching tv and I could hear noise at the door this was around 10:30pm or 11pm at night. but I thought it was the tv or someone at ice machine because there was a man who kept going back to the ice machine with huge bins of ice on the luggage cart carrier. So I thought maybe he went back so I look at the bottom of the door and I didn’t see foot shadows, but I’m still hearing the noise after muting the tv. So I get up and walk to the door and look out the peephole and there’s a man in a blue shirt opening my door with a room key, no luggage with his head in the corner of my door. Thank GOD I had the latch on the door or anything could have happened to me and my baby. It was extremely scary. What was crazy to me is that the lady at the front desk was the one who changed my room multiple times and was the same woman at the desk when I left out of fear for me and my daughter safety, so SHE KNEW WE WERE IN THAT ROOM and then smiled as I was leaving saying I’m so sorry about that ma’am again. When they did nothing to ensure me and my babies safety. It was extremely weird. Stay at your own risk. But as for me I WILL NEVER AGAIN. And have yet to be refunded or contacted back from management or corporate.

Rooms were not ready for guests. Remodeling with no trim a dead roach under were trim should be. Shower door wouldn't stay shut water got all over floor. Food was disgusting. Holes in wall were plates should be. Front desknlady not super friendly. Wouldn't stay again. Needs so much more work.

"Misery Motel" NOT Comfort Inn! the room we were given had non-functional AC, it made noise and blew air but stunk and the humidity was horrible Second room the AC worked some but then began stinking too AND the floor became covered with water and very slippery! Used all towels mopping but still a puddle.. The night desk person didn't care,wouldn't give us a decent room and said she'd "tell someone... tomorrow". The maintenance guy trying hard but both ice makers non-functional both times we stayed here, obviously the place is beyond one guy to fix everything! No laundry room. Another team doing renovations left Moldy air conditioners stacked high in hall. Gross. Hope we don't get Legionaires disease from this hell hole. NEVER coming back here again! Choice hotels no longer good IMO.

This terrible business had zero understanding or compassion. My daughter had a test off I10. I was going to take her and the room was under my name. My father died and my wife had to take my daughter. The room was booked under me. As I'm dealing with the death, my wife calls to tell me that they would not allow her to check in. The offer was to drive 2hours and check them in. They made me book a second room under my wife's name. Called to dispute with manager later who said he'd take care of it. He lied, refused all disputes, and refused to return calls after the initial misrepresentation. This is a despicable establishment, the management and front desk are complete liars, and their rooms were questionable based on my wife's and daughter's experience. They didn't feel safe enough to leave for dinner and ordered in Doordash. The front desk girl ignored them for the first 3 minutes to finish the call on her cell. There was a dried out contact lense in the middle of the bathroom floor so clearly it hadn't been cleaned properly after the previous visitor. Please stay away. There are better options in the area.
