Days Inn LaPorte

We made a reservation on Booking.Com for a mobility double queen room. They did not have this room available as the room was filled with boxes when we entered it (rm 101). Another room was given as an option however it was not a mobility room and they were asking for an additional 100$ which was already charged to the first room. Management came and created a worse situation. Told me I could pay with apply pay tap but started shouting at me when HIS equipment wasn’t working. I told him to take the card number from the apple pay info and he refused. We were out of luck with a place to stay and now at a loss for 181.00. Based on ratings I was hoping for better customer service and was met with a manager with a bad attitude. I definitely would NOT recommend this site. Don’t prepay through any services. Oh…and they don’t have breakfast and the manager gets snappy when he’s proven wrong. Even cusses at you. Mind you , we had a child with us too. All together, HORRIBLE. You’ll have better luck at any where else but here.

Stay was okay, but I was charged a $150 incidental fee for minor sheet stains from a small shaving nick. The stains were small and appeared washable, but the hotel said they throw away any sheets with blood and automatically charge guests. I understand charging for real damage, but this felt excessive for something minor. Also, the mirror light in the room was flickering when turned on. I reported it and was told it would be fixed, but it never was during my stay. Just something future guests should be aware of regarding incidental charges and maintenance issues.

Brand new place stayed here for a weld test. Cheap but really clean room/well maintained room. Offer room service regularly and have a good breakfast bar. Definitely will return

Would give 0 stars if i could, stayed here a few months back but felt the need to leave a review because i remembered how horrible the customer service was, so i visiting family because im not from houston, and needed a hotel because the family i was visiting had no more space, when i arrived, there was no one at the front, then suddenly an indian man with a tank top and what seemed like underwear came out to “help me out “ i was having some issue with my debit card and out of nowhere he starts going on about “Sir don’t waste my time are you going to pay” something along those lines, keep in mind i was being super respectful up until this point, and i was in a good mood so i just laughed his remarks and disrespect off. Had it been any other day it would’ve been a different story but anyways i got my key, the hotel was meh but that was about it, to me what’s mostly shocking is the fact that an employee thinks his time is being “wasted”, when he was literally doing nothing beforehand. Respect goes a long way and this place has none.

Room was clean and comfortable. If I had anything negative it would be the lack of breakfast and coffee. But the stay was convenient, clean, and friendly.
