Across town, Hunters Glen Park hosts the city's annual Juneteenth Celebration.

The City of Missouri City runs 21 developed parks covering about 515 acres, plus 14.4 miles of trails, according to its Parks and Trails page. This guide is the shortlist.

How we chose

We define Missouri City as the City of Missouri City and the parks it runs, plus one Fort Bend County park with a Missouri City street address, Kitty Hollow Park. We left out Sugar Land, Stafford and the Houston parks just over the city line. We also left out the lakes, pools and splash pads inside master-planned communities such as Sienna, because access rules for non-residents vary.

Every pick was confirmed on its operator's official website in November 2026: the City of Missouri City's park pages or Fort Bend County Parks and Recreation. Hours and amenities can change, so treat everything below as typical and check the official page before you go.

When are Missouri City parks open?

All City of Missouri City parks are typically open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., according to the city's Parks and Trails page. The Hunters Glen splash pad keeps its own hours, typically 10 a.m. to dusk daily. Kitty Hollow Park is run by Fort Bend County, which doesn't publish park hours on the Kitty Hollow page, so check with the county before an early or late visit.
