Wingate by Wyndham Humble/Houston Intercontinental Airport

This hotel is kind of a hot mess. Not sure where to start. There is no parking in the parking lot. Cars had to park next door because there were no parking spots in the hotel lot and they were towed. The Continental breakfast is pretty sad. Little pancakes, cold cereal, yogurt and store-bought bagels. The phone in our room was broken so we could not call the front desk. The security latch on the door was non-existent, so maintenance had to come and fix it the next day. They do have a pool as advertised, however, there are no table tops for the deck tables, no cushions for the chairs. The feature wall outside by the pool does not work, nor does the jetted pool attached to the swimming pool. The Jets do not work. There was a rain shower head in the shower, but the water pressure was such that it took an hour to take a shower. The inside of the bathtub was "bowl shaped" and so it was not safe to take a shower in there. Would absolutely not recommend it for children or older persons. It is simplynot safe. The ice machine was filthy, and when I asked for bottled cold water, they told me it would be a dollar a bottle. They ran out of bath towels to replace the towels in the room. They said they were all in the laundry. I think that pretty well covers it. I would highly recommend finding another place to stay that has better, cleaner accommodations.

We called from the airport after we arrived at midnight and were told a shuttle was coming for us in 20-25 minutes. It arrived on time and we got to the hotel greeted by a sign saying the clerk was gone but would be back soon. 15 minutes later he arrived and checked us in, no idea why no one was there when they knew we were coming. The lobby smelled of strong cleaning chemicals. The room was clean but lacked safety lock and light covers. Not the worst place we’ve ever stayed but probably wouldn’t return.

I do not recommend this hotel! The room was clean but that was the only good thing. There was not enough parking and the Chris at the front desk was telling people to go park across a busy street at anther hotel. Cars were towed if you parked in the same shared parking lot that were not marked as “Waffle House Only” and there was no warning given. I also paid for a late check out and at 11:30am, Chris (the front desk worker) was banging on my door and was attempting to key into my room! It was not appropriate nor respectful! There were also not enough towels, no wash clothes or do not disturb signs to hang on the door. I would not recommend staying here.

For the money and proximity to the airport this is a steal! Rooms are huge, WiFi works, plenty of parking and food options right outside the door, shuttle buses, Humble (pun intended lol) breakfast. Heat doesn't work but they provide you with electric no problem and hey, it's Texas, you'll be fine. Tv had a problem connecting to WiFi and the EV chargers at their parking lot were down both of them, other than that for this kind of money can't think of anything bad to say. They even accept cash deposit. Stayed here twice and would stay again

Hotel could use a makeover but is clean and spacious rooms. Shuttle service is, in our experience, incompetent. Booked and waited for shuttle that never arrived. Next one was full and said they called for us but that is a lie as we were all four outside waiting 7 min before sheduled pickup. I recommend just taking an Uber.
