Spent the last couple weeks here. I was working a job at the mall and had to work nights. The hotel is right smack in the parking lot of the mall so it was very convenient. ID LIKE TO GIVE A BIG SHOUT TO MISS VANESSA FROM THE FRONT DESK. She made our stay very comfortable during our stay. She was very attentive, sweet, caring, charismatic, friendly and anything else you can think of. I appreciate her and wish nothing the best for her for the hospitality. The whole crew is also very good! Super clean hotel. Great breakfast with food always stocked! Very good pricing. I’d stay here 100 million more times if I could. Miss Vanessa if you see this! May everything you wish for come true! Thank you!

Our room had a very bad musty smell. We found a cockroach in our room. Asked to be moved. New room also had a bad smell. Assuming it's because the rooms were over the pool area. We stayed for a week and couldn't even use the pool. Of course the heater was broken and it was ice cold. Breakfast was the same thing every day and was pretty tasteless. Tortillas, potatoes, powdered eggs, sausage, refried beans, waffles, mystery bagels. It was in a pretty convenient location, but I would've spent a little more to have some better amenities and variety.

Please listen to the reviews talking about mildew. I wish I would have listened. But it said that it was clean on the app that I booked through. When you walk in, it smells a little bit but not anything crazy… But when I got to my floor… I was hit with the very very very nauseating smell of mildew and it seemed to get worse and worse. When I got to my room and opened the door, it was even worth the hallway. As much as I hate to admit it, I just thought maybe I would adjust and not notice it within about 10 minutes. I started almost getting dizzy and nauseated from the smell being so strong. Decided to take a shower and when I walked into the bathroom, I noticed what looked like. Blood on the toilet and grime and dirt all over the shampoo and conditioner containers. The service was nice, but other than that, I would adamantly suggest going anywhere, but here I turned on the heater and the whole room started smelling like burnt mildew instead of just regular mildew I would genuinely be concerned for your health when it comes to staying here

Aileena is a-may-za-hing. She gave us the BEST service we have encountered on our long trip of relocating to Texas from Indianapolis. Clean hotel, pet friendly and the best service around. Give her a raise bc she definitely has proven how valuable she is to this hotel. We’ll be staying again.

This is our first time on this location. We used to be at holiday inn on close to this one, but for this year we’ve decided as family to try this hotel. For point of view we are an Autism family and we make sure to do a “getaway” every December. Since budget is tight we opted for local trip this year. First, the location is perfect for shopping, dining and sightseeing for anything katy has to offer. Last night we visited Coca-Cola classic christmas. We just walked from hotel to the venue. Second, it is clean because maybe because it is quite a new building so understandable it is still clean and no unnecessary odor yet. Third, the check in staff was amazing - she’s kind, polite and very friendly. We love her. Third, breakfast was amazing also - you get quite a lot of variety to choose from. The dining staff were helpful and friendly too. Now my fourth issue (and the reason I gave one star) - after breakfast we went back to our room to change for swimwear (the indoor pool is a plus) since Autistic kids loved water so we grabbed the opportunity for him to enjoy the pool before checking out. When we got to our room- the keycard wont work so maybe it’s just the code thing so husband went downstairs to have key card replaced. He’s back and still won’t work - I tried also to help - tried to push/pull the door while the light turn red and green like intermittent pulse of red and green color. So my husband went downstairs again to report that it still not working - and he’s back being told to “yank” the door (???) - so we did and still nothing happened. At this point after 3 trips of going up and down (we are in 4th floor by the way - I went with my husband (all of us) went downstairs and I’m telling you this time I am losing all the patience I’ve been trying to keep. So we went to the receptionist and told her that STILL the key card is NOT WORKING or we can’t open the door - and instead of showing compassion - she tried to gaslight us that the door is okay and it should not be like this and that so I told her then we need a maintenance guy to help us or then I will call fire department to help us open the door since she also told my husband that it is Sunday and no maintenance guy is on duty. Luckily, she saw a man (not in uniform or employee clothing attire) and ask him to CHECK (finally! Someone is going upstairs) to help us. When we get to our room he was already there and told us that he was able to open the door with no problem and acknowledged to report it because it’s the program thing. Finally, we are inside the room already!!! But while the whole thing was going on our Autistic son was becoming anxious and worried that we have a problem with the door and his father was going up and down and everything with it - being Autistic this is just one of those things that we are really trying to avoid that’s why we plan a lot to have a nice trip, nice experience and a nice Christmas experience! He can’t help it because he is AUTISTIC and if you blame him for acting that way then please I am happy to offer you to switch with him - you being Autistic and my son being the “normal” one. But I dare you - you won’t last a minute being Autistic. Now as I’m writing this I’m inside the room on my own while my son and his dad/my husband are at the pool. Now I am missing the moment with them - a happy moment with them - our supposed happy bonding together- I opted to stay in the room to make sure that I am inside the room to open them in case the door acts up again. So you see - you might take it as a simple incident - but for us Autism family is really a big deal because everyday of our lives is a survival mode! And UPDATE: after almost 2 hours in the pool and they’re back and tried to open the door - STILL keycard didn’t work again!!!!! Never again to this hotel - BEWARE!
