Where do I even begin? My car was broken into around 1:00 a.m. while parked near a camera. The security officer reportedly told the responding sheriff she had seen the suspects, was suspicious of them, and noticed they were parked in the back lot with no front or back license plates while watching my vehicle. Instead of confronting or checking on what was obviously suspicious behavior, she left the area. Two of my windows were smashed. That alone would have been bad enough. What made it far worse was the way this property handled the aftermath. The camera footage was effectively withheld. The sheriff explicitly said the footage was needed, yet the next day I had to return to the property with law enforcement because staff still had not produced it. We were told it could only be released to the sheriff due to company policy, but then they made the sheriff wait in the lobby for over an hour because they “needed a code” to access it. In the end, he had to leave his information after getting the runaround and wasting valuable time. That is unacceptable. At that point I was dealing with two broken windows and a major storm rolling in. I requested a small courtesy in the form of flexibility and basic decency. None was offered. No meaningful help, no urgency, no accountability. At checkout, I asked for a later checkout as a courtesy given everything that had happened. The front desk initially offered me the regular checkout time as if that was somehow helpful. After more back and forth, I was granted two extra hours. Then, while I was still moving my belongings out in multiple trips, they deactivated my key early anyway. On my final trip, my dogs were locked inside the room, and the A/C had been manually turned off. It was only 12:30 p.m. That is beyond careless. The manager was no better. Instead of handling the situation like a professional, she walked away from my fiancée and me in the middle of the lobby while we were trying to address what had happened. No remorse. No compensation. No ownership. Just attitude. As for the property itself, this was easily the most poorly kept Home2 Suites I have stayed in. The shower had visible mold and rust. The utensils were dirty and still had dried food on them. Housekeeping came once during a seven-day stay. The breakfast was flat-out bad. The dog area was overgrown and neglected. The overall atmosphere was not family-friendly and did not feel safe. Men were loitering in the parking lot late into the night, hanging out shirtless in the hallways, and treating the place like an open hangout spot instead of a hotel. I did not feel comfortable leaving the room unless I was with my fiancée What makes this even harder to swallow is that this stay cost more than better properties nearby. I paid a premium rate for a worse experience. And to top it off, they hit guests with a $50 incidental hold per day, due at arrival. Paying more for this level of dysfunction is insane. The only staff member who showed any real humanity was the Indian gentleman at the front desk. He seemed genuinely sorry, and I appreciate that. Everyone else made an already terrible situation worse.

If there was a way to leave negative stars I would. I booked this hotel for a one night stay with family 4 rooms. I was told prior to making reservations that they had free shuttle service. When we arrived at airport and called for transportation was told I had to use uber that their service didn’t start until later. When we arrived at hotel I was informed that two of our rooms had been transferred to another hotel next door. Discovered that we were charged over 400 for the rooms there after we had already paid for rooms at Home2Suites. Was advertised that there was a pool and it was red tagged by the city and closed. The hotel general manager responded that there would be no compensation or adjustment to the bill. So I am basically out over 500$ due to this hotel’s incompetence . So much for the corporation guarantee of satisfaction.

I stayed here 3 nights while I was in town for a conference. This hotel is well below the standards I’m used to seeing from a Hilton brand. Room cleanliness was subpar. The lobby did not seem attentive. The coffee pots were empty two of the days I checked (around 5:30 AM). Breakfast was not open on time. Finally, my reservation was cancelled for some reason which just delayed my check in. On the flip side, the location is right off the highway which is convenient. And there is a new security around the parking lot. I was also told there is nightly security guards in the parking lot. Overall, I’m less than pleased. I will stay somewhere else next time I’m in Houston.

I stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton in Houston, Texas, and my experience was extremely disappointing — especially for what was supposed to be my birthday trip. When I checked in, I was not informed that rooms are not automatically cleaned. The next day, my room was left unserviced, and when I asked about it, I was simply offered towels. That same night, I learned from local news and my Uber driver that there was an active serial killer in Houston who had killed multiple people within two weeks. As a woman traveling alone, I felt unsafe leaving the hotel after dark, so I stayed in — but my room quickly became unbearable due to a broken thermostat that kept heating up no matter how many times I adjusted it. The in-room phone didn’t work (pressing “Front Desk” said “no guest messages”), so I had to use my cell phone to reach someone. When I finally did, I was told that unless I was extending my stay, there was nothing they could do. I later got moved to another room, but that thermostat didn’t work either — it was freezing cold with a dead battery. Between the lack of housekeeping, broken AC units, and a nonfunctional phone, this stay was far below Hilton standards. I was offered only 2,500 Hilton Honors points for everything I went through — a token gesture that didn’t begin to make up for a ruined birthday trip. To make matters worse, I’ve called and emailed the hotel manager multiple times and left detailed messages, but she has never returned my call or followed up on my refund request. I’ve always trusted Hilton for quality and comfort, but this experience felt more like a budget motel than a Hilton property. I sincerely hope corporate reviews this property’s management and addresses these ongoing issues. Guests deserve better.

I've stayed at a lot of Hiltons. We started staying at Home2 Suites when we had a flight cancellation and they took really good care of us in New Orleans. This Houston airport location is the 2nd Hilton to misadvertise about their shuttle service; Boston was the first. I purposely booked this hotel so we could have shuttle service & I could drop the rental car off the day before. I had everything noted in the special notes in the reservation about my shuttle needs. When I checked in, the guy at the counter tells me he sees my note & that he can't provide me shuttle service for that time. I asked why they didn't notify me earlier & he said he wouldn't have seen the note until today; well it was 3pm, I booked a week ago & they had all day, but no contact from the hotel. Went to the pool & it was absolutely freezing,I'd guess about 68 degrees. There were leaves in the bottom too. Big disappointment. Room had stains all over the carpet. & no dish soap in the kitchen. This place is well below Hilton's standards. I will never book another Hilton "airport " location again. This is twice they've cost me an extra day of car rental and were less than customer focused after the inconvenience. 11-05-25 Called manager 11-03-25 first thing in the morning. She hadn't came in yet so left a message for her to call me. The lady I spoke with said she was expected in an hour. Waited for the return call, but 2-days later still haven't heard back. This Hilton is not up to their normal standards.
